Cradley Kawasaki sold
This may be old news to those who live in the area. Apparently bought by Wheels and will now be a multi franchise outlet for Aprilia / Mutt / Moto Guzzi / Honda / Suzuki / Piaggio / Vespa among others.
I've used them for postal stuff since the 70s when they were Cradley Heath Kawasaki. They were always lightening fast for spares.
I don't know of them personally, but 'Wheels' don't seem to have a great reputation. Time will tell I suppose.

I thought Honda operated a Solus model, the companies that want to sell others as well often have other buildings for the lesser bikes.

As in kawasaki dealers? Kirkcaldy motorcycles are a kawasaki dealer, it used to be in Perth but they moved, they have Cupar motorcycles (Suzuki) and maybe one other place but I can’t remember. The owner is a cockwomble anyway, hate the cunt.

It's quite a popular place with the PB guys and they know a lot of the sales guys etc. All who have quit due to some interesting new contract/orders etc.

I've bought a lot of GPz 1100 parts from them, they sold them for the Kawasaki list price which was quite often stuck in the 80s, new cam chain was £42

Fowlers is a decent place for spares, pricey for some bits and ok for other bits.

That's shit. They were great. I hope they manage to still be a good sources of spares.Skub wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 5:19 pm This may be old news to those who live in the area. Re: Cradley Kawasaki sold
A quick look appears to show Cornwall Kawasaki Center sells only Kaw's, maybe there are others. There used to be one in Cambridge (long gone), other's in Exeter & Portsmouth (ditto). My local one in London was on the Walworth Rd in Lambeth, but I think they also sold Brit stuff. I think Daytona in Ruislip was Kaw only many years ago.... Then there was Paddock Wood Kaw in Kent.
I know back in the day the Kaw shops weren't allowed to sell other brands, but that changed.

Re: Cradley Kawasaki sold
I think Clay Cross Kawasaki near Chesterfield are still solus Kawasaki (among Japanese brands). They also sell a variety of Chinese makes, but no competing Japanese brands.
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

Did CW not jump to a Ducati dealership recently?

Re: Cradley Kawasaki sold
You’re all forgetting Bournemouth Kawasaki.
They just happen to run the WSB and BSB teams as well.

Re: Cradley Kawasaki sold
Kaw dealer I worked for here back around '99 took on Ducati. Then one day a truck showed up, two blokes walked in, walked all the Ducati's out & that was the end of that. Boss never mentioned it.
