Tailbag that can hold a helmet
I’m looking for a tail bag for my CBR929RR that can hold a helmet. Every single one I find online always seems to have some reviews that say something like ‘even though this is supposed to fit a helmet, it doesn’t’. You gotta love online reviews….
So Has anyone bought one of these that they can send me a link to that definitely fits a helmet?

Topbox FTW
Ignore the uncool looks.
When it's freezing cold, wet and windy on the M1, do you think the guy in the posh BMW will phone his mates (hands free) to say he saw an uncool bike with topbox ?

Haha, I agree. I’m not against a top box really, but couldn’t find one for the CBR929RR. I can find them for earlier and later models, but not that one.Yorick wrote: Fri Nov 18, 2022 11:35 pm Topbox FTW

Re: Tailbag that can hold a helmet
Thanks. I had spotted this one, but there were no reviews. Considering the high price, I would have liked to see some real world reviews if it.asmethurst99 wrote: Fri Nov 18, 2022 9:50 pm https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorc ... rod/541888

Just about and on the label says 12 to 21 litre. That's fully stretched.

The larger BMW tailbags should hold a helmet.
They're pretty waterproof too.

This looks great! Does it feel stable with something heavy In like a chain/lock?Dodgy69 wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 10:13 am Just about and on the label says 12 to 21 litre. That's fully stretched.

Re: Tailbag that can hold a helmet
I had one of the Mottorad ones with my S1000R and it did fit a helmet. Annoyingly I sold it earlier in the year. I guess that’s an option. They’re pretty expensive though.Rockburner wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 10:40 am The larger BMW tailbags should hold a helmet.

Re: Tailbag that can hold a helmet
Tbh, I haven't used that bag on the mt. The mt pillion seat is tiny. Good for fuckall. On the tracer it fit perfect, just straps under seat.
I have a smaller tailbag for mt or tank bag. When strapped up they are very solid, I would happily put a heavy chain in.

I have one, too, and I can vouch for it being well-made and able to be attached securely.Ben17484 wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 1:42 pmI’ve just ordered one. That's why I went top box on the GSXS (as well as top boxes just being easier/better if uglier) the rear seat is like a sports bike's short and tapered.Dodgy69 wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 1:00 pm Tbh, I haven't used that bag on the mt. Re: Tailbag that can hold a helmet
I think I'd fit a top box if they made a kit for this model. The only kit I can find for the 929 comes from Australia and is really expensive (then add the shipping cost). I'm going to look a bit more in to the kits for the earlier and later Fireblades and see If I can modify them to fit my 929. That's something for warmer weather and when I've more time. For now, the tail bag should do nicely.Supermofo wrote: Tue Nov 22, 2022 8:21 amThat's why I went top box on the GSXS (as well as top boxes just being easier/better if uglier) the rear seat is like a sports bike's short and tapered.Dodgy69 wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 1:00 pm Tbh, I haven't used that bag on the mt.
