To be pedantic, Android doesn't do crash detection... Google's Pixels do (from the 3 onwards, in some countries).

But my new android is a Pixel.

However.... (got a new angle), if your phone is 'new', then it can't have had that feature 'for years', so he can't have been referring to your phone.

I did know, and mine is a couple of models up from his but yes OK, granted it's Pixel phones only at present since 2019ish, and the app has been in the play store for the last 2 years.

So, Android running on Pixels has been doing it for years.

Is the earthquake app more use than the tornado warning?
