Oh YES.
It has to be said that at some WSB rounds it's hard to spot the spectators anyway, with the camera men cleverly keeping empty seats off screen ( most of the time ).
So for me it could be better, no more "how on earth are they paying for this event, there's no-one there ?".
Not so at Donington last year, we were camping, it was heaving.
