Re: Portimao Test
So BMW/Redding are sitting out this test? I'd have thought they needed all the testing time they could get...

Re: Portimao Test
So long as the lap times are all similar Toprak has them covered as no one can outbrake him. Gonna be interesting

Re: Portimao Test
They both can, but not consistently. But it does open up an interesting discussion as to how! It's very rare we've seen a rider able to consistently out brake everyone.
Rossi for a while, Marquez too.

Re: Portimao Test
It’s mind boggling! At least WSBK is exciting again after so many years of absolute boredom.

Re: Portimao Test
I don’t think we’ve seen a rider in a series have such a consistent advantage like Toprak, you’d put money on him against any rider in WSB in a head to head battle on the brakes. He doesn’t seem to worry if anyone passes him as he knows he can get back even if he’s slightly slower over a lap.

Re: Portimao Test
I think this year we'll see Rea riding like a demon. Whether that's enough remains to be seen.

Re: Portimao Test
I genuinely thought Rea was riding like a demon last season and just as aggressive as others and more aggressive than I’ve ever seen him, I think because Toprak was so aggressive at times people were not not seeing some of the hard moves that Rea was pulling off as well, it made for exciting racing.
