2022 Trackday discussions, dates, plans, meetups etc..
@Dodgy knees wanted to discuss trackdays, see who's going where and when.
We're waiting on some medical stuff which is holding up and decisions on our side.
But, crack on gang, set some dates, times, places and meets.

I'm hoping to get over to Jerez or Portimao early spring. We'll see what happens,

I might do a cheeky Oulton Park early on, reckon the bike will love it. Would be nice to have a little forum meet up one weekend, plenty of time for that though.

The Wiltshire lot are keen to go to Anglesey. A TD and beery weekend, Maybe with Oulton on the way there or the way back.
Actually organising it is not on the top of the activity list at the moment though

Anglesey is a great track. One of my favourites. Holding it flat through turns 4 and 5 is a real buzzG.P wrote: Fri Jan 07, 2022 7:02 pm The Wiltshire lot are keen to go to Anglesey. A TD and beery weekend, Maybe with Oulton on the way there or the way back.

Taken from msv website.
Wearing a back protector makes sense. Up until now we have always 'strongly recommended' riders to wear one. From 2022 this has been upgraded to being compulsory. When lining up for your sighting laps the pitlane marshals will do their visual checks (for wristbands etc) and give you a friendly pat on the back which may be accompanied with a prod or two to see if you are ticklish. The back protector should be full length to cover at least the majority of your spine. The back protector can be integrated or separate. The back protector needs to be designed and fit for that purpose. If you have any queries regarding suitability please email [email protected]

Dunno if I can be arsed with track days this year, doing some RWYB drag racing this year, so I probably won't have time for track days.

Anglesey is 2nd only to Cadwell.
Saying that, I've only ever been in glorious sunshine, I imagine it's almost as horrid as Pembrey when it's windy, cold and wet.

Due to MTB racing, I don't see myself on track this year, which will be the first time in 20 years.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:00 pm Dunno if I can be arsed with track days this year, doing some RWYB drag racing this year, so I probably won't have time for track days.

Might need to buy a full length one then, my Tractech Evo4 jacket only covers the top half of my back.

Oulton Park say 89db. Is that anything to be concerned about with stock pipe.

What's the earliest in the year you'll consider booking a uk track day? I did one in March a couple of years ago and woke to find the van and bike iced up but the day was mostly ok but during the day we got a bit of sun, some rain and some hail thrown in for good measure.

I've Snetterton a couple of times in February, it was very cheap, about £70 from memory, weather was dry but cold, and the last session was a write off because of the low sun, but both were really good track days, the twats that fall off weren't there.

Still unable to book Silverstone.... is it getting a bit suspicious that they won't actually happen for some reason ? Is there something we're missing here.
