Walk around, discussing changes etc.

And the longer review with plenty track footage.

Stunning thing. On the superbike test they did, they raved about it.
For me though, it's what £25000? Lol I can't even justify £10000 let alone £25000 to myself

I think the wings and the slots make it look fussy. I'd much rather the 'smoother' 2019.

The one used in the test I think was the 2021 SP but don’t quote me on that. I know the 2021 superbike shootout in fast bikes was the SP that was used and I think it won.

I originally had the same opinion but I’m liking it, the wings on the 2022 are smaller than the 2020/21 bike but still offer the same amount of downforce etc. I think when it’s a matter of performance over aesthetics and consistent fast lap times or faster lap times then that’s a win win. But, I’m liking it.

Absolutely. As I have the Bike Unlimited app I still read the bike mags, well bits of them.
Oh that's nice. Damn £18k won't bother reading that test then.
That's alright. Oh £16k. Never mind.
Meh MT07 ;) but I can afford that I'll read that.
That's more lik...nope £14k

I was doing coffee yesterday with @fil2 and we were discussing bikes and trackdays (as usual), when we're at a trackday, the Superbikes don't even register to me, things like the 790s, MT10s, 1290s etc are the bikes i watch. I respect that people have just grabbed their road bikes and come to track to play. More so than the £20,000+ sportsbikes, they just leave me cold and meh...
The riding position of them for me adds an extra meh...

So, i mostly just ignore them.

I then watch Wulls videos and that sort of riding couldn't be further for me than where i want to be on a bike these days... 20 years ago i'd have taken him on.... but now, i'd just laugh and ignore him as he goes past.

I do wonder how quick you'd have to be to ride it to it's limits

Well you couldn't... unless you're at BSB level... but you could say that about 99.9% of riders on 99.9% of bikes.

That doesn't mean they're not remarkable machines though. Even the 1199 was completely and utterly mind blowing to ride, irrespective of how hard i was riding, it was like a video game.

For me that wouldn't give long term enjoyment, knowing that there's no way I'm ever going to get to the limit of the bike.

Depends on what you class as getting to the limits of the bike, more chance of getting to your own limits than the bike itself.

It looks glorious, I love the shark gills on the side.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

It's why I've got 1980s bikes to ride on track, and even on those I'm pushing myself to get near their limits.

Some of these bikes are so pretty and (apparently) so amazing to ride that every now and then I’m almost tempted to go for it - and if I thought I wouldn’t get bored in a month or so then I would, but I reckon after the first few rides were done it would just end up collecting dust.

I love the way it looks as Ming said "the shark gills" give it an aggressive look. The 44 teeth video was superb track footage and the usual comedy gold with Al shouting to Jorge Martin "I've done a few laps round here mate, i'll show you round if you like" :D :D as well as "The track is greasier than Rod Hulls roof" :D

It does look nice, but its a Steinway Grand Piano to me.

I can't play the piano.
