Blimey. There's 7 more rounds after this weekend and Yamaha will have to field 2 bikes.

Dovi?

Yamaha are obviously pretty sure of their position in this, eh?

Mav must be a bit of a 40watt, given the amount of information that can be gleaned from the bike's telemetry - he must have realised that any attempts to mess with the bike's performance would be glaringly obvious to Yamaha?

Or maybe he did and just wants out asap?

At least when Zarco got pissed off with KTM he did it the right way...

He was a petulant twat when he was in Moto3, sounds like he hasn't lost that and really didn't think things through- there's only going to be one outcome in that situation IMO if the relationship was already strained, not the best way of getting out though I would have thought.

And yeah maybe we'll see Dovi back- Cal sounded very much retired to me in last weeks interviews

Move Frankie into the factory squad when he is fit and then fill the Petronas seat with a young gun for the rest of the season .

Strange behaviour for Vinales but not the first time he has done stupid things to a team while under contract. He started that when he was a 16 year old in 125GP/Moto 3 while sponsored by Paris Hilton and Ibiza nightclubs but threw his toys out the pram for a couple of rounds before whimpering back with his tail between his legs

More chance of Jake Dixon getting moved up than either of them I would have thought

Well, that's either a meltdown or deliberate strategy.

What potential team manager would look at that and believe hiring Top Gun is a sound proposition?

On Twitter the buzz seems to be that on the last 2 laps he was a gear too low on the limiter down the straight. Backed up by his last 2 laps top speeds being identical and lower than other laps. Seems several people heard it too and I'm guessing blatantly obvious via data logging.

Another interesting addition to the story and the whole Yamaha and Petronas situation is that SRT are now pulling their Moto3 and Moto2 involvement so McPhee and Dixon now without a ride as Petronas will now only run a MotoGP team

As of next year ? As McPhee is out on the grid today in FP1.

He had a smirk on his face. Probably there for contractual reasons. Keeping his side of the bargain. There could be a lot of wages at stake.
