New Bike...seat day H2 refurb

Post by r1flyguy »

Always thought the H2 seat was like sitting on a patio slab so after 'many' emails sent out to various companies with very few replying or able to create the design i wanted I finally settled on a company up North as they answered the email quickly, their website was decent and the photo gallery showed some nice work.

This is the original seat....

They are like rocking horse poo to pick up second hand but after a few months one popped up on the bay for a decent price so snapped it up as I wanted to keep the original

Anyway, the refurb on the newly acquired used item wasn't straight forward.

Firstly the turnaround stated was 5 weeks, at week 5, I emailed the company, No reply, so i called them, usual spiel about getting it done that week etc and they will call me.

Week 7 I emailed them again, again No reply, seems they do not reply to emails, only to get your business.....

Had the "it will be completed today or late tomorrow, and we will call you" They didn't call! I gave them another few days and called them on a Friday to find no answer and no answer phone and that they were closed Friday, Saturday & Sunday... a bit annoyed at the point

Week 9 I called, the excuse this time was the embroidery machine was being repaired and will be a couple of days!!!

Anyway, I had to go to Ireland for a few days so now we are into weeks 10 & 11 i think. whilst there I get a call to say it was complete, so i promptly pay, ask them to email me a photo of i which they said they would... guess what... they never did...

It was another week before I got home and finally had the seat.... The company are a pain in the arse to deal with, poor communication but I can't complain about the finished article to be honest.....

It does look slightly bulkier that's because it has the gel insert too, but I'm very pleased with it nonetheless

I dislike a lot of the comfort seats out there,as they kinda spoil the lines of the bike and the seat looks like it has an infection.

This one looks quite snazzy. I think once a gel pillion seat goes on,then it looks gash, but I'd be happy with that.

I've been getting around the numb-bum scenario by wearing gel cycling shorts, which work a lot better than I expected. A fuck load cheaper too.

Luckily The H2 doesn’t have a pillion seat 😁

Even if it did,the pillion wouldn't be there for long anyway.
