Noob to this Forum, Looking forward to being here

Post by r1flyguy »

Hi All

Having frequented mainly car forums but been a biker since a young age ive struggled of late to find an active biker forum so hoping this is the one.... :

I’m Redditch based (Worcs) anyone here local??

Currently have 4 bikes in the garage, all Kawasakis!!!!So forgive the forum name as it came from when i ventured to the dark side in 2002 and bought a new injected Yamaha R1 and started using forums, the name stuck so i use it on all forums tbh.

Be gentle with me :D

Look forward to posting and getting advice as its needed

Welcome Mister , always good to see new people

If you fancy a trackday, and/or meeting any of us in real life, we've got a bit of a social in August at Pembrey circuit- almost on your doorstep (relatively speaking ;) ) eh

Details here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1870

Thanks all for the replies, feel welcomed already

I’m up for meetings when dates permit and currently have completed a track bike build, taken a year due to Covid and work commitments but looking to get it out onto a track for fettling as I’m guessing it needs a bit of adjusting for my 6’1 frame.

Google :)

I just put in the search ‘super bike forums’ and looked for a U.K. forum then looked at the threads to see how active it was

My local dealer where I’ve been a customer for over 20 years is in Cradley Heath (didn’t want to post the name incase it was against forum rules)

We have very few rules here, certainly none in that context.

Rule 1...
Don't be a twat

However, if you are a twat, be funny and you may get away with it :)

Rule 2....
No personal insults.... You can't call people names....

That's the end of the rules.

I'm a long time Kawasaki owner,from the 70s Z1 to 900R ZZR1100 ZX9R ZX10R to the present Z1000R.

I love the stroker triples, but they are very costly to buy now. Maybe I'll own one someday!

Cradley is where I have always bought my spares, they've a rock solid reputation from way back to the 70s.

I have bought all my bikes from there bar the R1 which I had from a company called 'Speedaways that no longer exists.

Cradley still look after my bikes and had a huge part in building my track bike too :obscene-drinkingcheers:

This is my 2009 model, in essence it looks pretty standard its only when you get close you notice the mods

Hi Horse, Have we met??

I knew someone of the same name, had an insanely modded 04/5 ZX10R, very loud, got black flagged at Mallory after you took my place as I think I dropped my bike! Must have been circa 2009/2010
