Always had a soft spot for the XT500,never realised Honda won with a XL500, after watching him go for a spin around the farm I'm going to have to rebuild the currently dead XT600

Anyone else been watching Harry's garage on YT?

This is cool. I didn't even know this channel.
My BiL is an ex Dakar rider, 9 times, I think and my nephew is in training to ride it next year - I find the whole thing amazing and the idea that someone completed it on an XT500 blows my mind !

Remember reading about the Dakar in 1979 when I was still at school, loved the xt500, so got an xt250 as my 2nd ever bike and then an xl500 after that, happy days blasting around the Gower
