Is there a track/tracks you'd like to do but have not yet ?

Post by weeksy »

Just wondering for all you trackday addicts, is there a track you'd like to ride, but haven't ?

I'm going to guess a decent chunk of you are thinking Laguna Seca, but there's more ....

There's Qatar in the dark under the lights, that'd be the one for me, just to experience how freaky weird it was.

I'm not a trackday addict by any stretch, but I still have a mental list of tracks I'd like to ride.

Mostly it's informed by my love of motorsport, and particularly F1, growing up. I want to do Silverstone, conveniently enough it 15 mins from my doorstep so I might actually get around to it in 2021.

I'd love to ride or drive Suzuka one day. It looks like one of those old school "walls are really close and really fast" tracks :D

Brooklands, or the original Monza, or Montlhéry.

Spa and Laguna.

Spa is pretty epic that's for sure. Been there 3 times, although the first time i didn't get to ride due to a leaky fork seal.

Pleven would be fantastic, I'd also like to have done the old street circuit at Mettet
I'd like to ride the TT course, I may book the parade laps of the Classic TT for 2022 (2021 already cancelled)
If I won the lottery I'd spend my whole time travelling round the world riding different tracks, so loads of tracks I'd like to ride, but there's also a ton of places I'd like to ride off road.

I don't really know many tracks sadly but love to try Spa (when I have more ability again!). And Le Mans - just because I've watched racing there

Where I really really want to go is one I've done once before but early on and lacking in skill!! I would love to go back to Anglesey - I loved the corkscrew even without skill!! LOL

Mallory on a wet Wednesday is the dream 😉

Realist ones that I say I want to do every year but never do is Lemans & Assen
Dream ones would be Suzuki & Phillip Island

Any thats not full of power ranger nobbers - the whole reason I stopped doing TD's.
There used to be a 'gentlemens' TDO back in the day who's name evades me, but if someone like that came along I'd happily start again

I'd like to complete a full card of UK tracks.

I think I'm missing...

Silverstone
Brands (full circuit, I've only done the Indy)
Croft
Knockhill
East Fortune
Aintree
Aberdare

I've done...

Cadwell
Brands Indy
Teeside
Darley
Oulton
Pembrey
Snetterton (300)
Castle Combe
Three Sisters
Mallory
Donington
Anglesey
Thruxton
Llandow
The road bits of Oliver's Mount, imho you have to be proper mental to actually race there.

Don't think I'd put you in that category, thinking more the 'all the gear no idea' brigade that run what would have been a few year old ex-BSB spec bike in novice or inters and can't ride for toffee.
