Some might say, they prefer these as the heat is outside and not inside the hand. Rechargeable, could be the quick fix some folk need on those odd occasions, folks like me.
Never seen them before... I do quite like the idea of gloves having their own battery though. These bike batteries don't need much of an excuse to go on strike. I reckon these gloves could be very handy for occasional cold use where heated grips not fitted or not recommended.
I’ve got Gerbing heated gloves, love them, better than heated grips (including the OEM on my 1150GS). Never used rechargeable ones but I’d probably give them a go before bothering with heated grips.
I'm picky,I can't get on with big,clumsy thickly padded gloves and those look just like that. If they made Summer/sports gloves with heated elements,then I'd be interested. Until then,heated grips are my choice for cool days.
I’ve got some sealskinz heated cycling gloves which I’ve used on the motorbike, not too big and bulky and battery gives 4 - 6 hours use. Only use on off road bike so no high speeds but they seem well made
I got the Gerging XRS12 Heated gloves in winter 2017 and I've worn them every winter since. While they've moulded to the shape of my hand they are like new. They connect to the battery of my bike as I don't want to be thinking about charging them or running out on a long journey. They are waterproof, windproof and breathable with a wiper-blade for clearing the rain from my visor. They heat the whole hand and not just the palm like heated grips and they come with a lifetime guarantee on the heating element. They have a hidden extra hot setting which you can unlock - the instructions are in the manual - that setting is too hot and I don't use it. I love them!
Downside - they are a bit faffy to put on so it takes a whopping great 30 seconds more before you can set off. The weak point seems to be the heating controller that goes in your jacket. Me and someone else I know had faulty ones that needed replacing as after a while only one glove was getting hot.
