Is the bat so that you can beat the bike (or perhaps the rider?) into some sense of order?!

Can't say its significantly worse looking than most cafe racers to be honest and would say its quite some way better looking than most Harley's.

Damned by faint praise I know but there it is.

IS that bat for beating the ugly out of the bike or trying to knock sense into the potential buyer?

The only Harley sportster I've even ridden had a slabby GSXR front end on it, with clip ons. a homemade rear swinger and GSXR rear wheel. the motor had been " liberated" as the owner described it. Deffo one of the weirdest things I've ridden, but oddly enjoyable. The most lasting memory of it is how skinny it was.
Each to his own I say :)

Cant say i'm a fan but I don't dislike it as much as most of you do. Still prefer bikes i can see the engine on...

I'm definitely not a fan of Harleys but to my eyes its less ugly than most Harleys.

Again, damned by faint praise but theres not many Harleys I can think of that look better.
Most of em just look heavy and lumpen to me. That ones less so

The baseball bat beside it looks a bit ferkin 11 year old charva to me, I assume its supposed to look rufty but it just looks a bit lame.

I bet underneath that superhero beard he's got no chin.
Got a mate who after years of a goatie he shaved it off only for us to realise why he'd grown it in the first place. From the nose down his face looked like Timmy Mallet.

It’s not a looker - and once it has all the stuff bolted on that it actually needs ...
But it’s not the worst HD by a long way ....

Obviously intended as a base for a dragster. They even have a space in the frame for the second engine

That's Aaron from Gas Monkey Garage.

Built it, raced it. Top bloke, very funny, in a dry wit sort of way.

Lol you think I didn't know? I do love that bike in a weird way, it's very much what a Harley is and should be to me.
