Arai Chin Straps?

Post by Yorick »

The strap on my Arai Chaser has become rippled/ridged/ruffled.
Can't think of proper description. It's fine to tighten, but often a bugger to undo

If I was in UK I'd get a new strap fitted. Not so easy here.

Is there a simple way to soften or flatten the strap?
Otherwise it's new helmet time.

Ta.

Surely the perfect excuse to buy a new RX7.

I'm sure Arai haven't made the Chaser for at least a decade (is there a date code stamped on the D-Ring?), deffo time for a new one!

Failing that ^^^^ I'd try dunking it in hot water or even fold a wet hanky a couple of times put it on it and iron it. If the hanky dries completely out take the iron off!
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.
