Reduce handlebar vibration

Hi, I have a 2011 Vstrom 650 with stock handlegrips and bar end weights. Over the years I’ve installed a fork stabilizer, progressive springs in the front forks and bar risers. I bought them on globy.com. None of these have made a significant difference in felt vibration while riding.

I don’t think I’m experiencing anything out of the ordinary, just looking to see if there’s an easy way to cut down on the vibration felt through the handlebars.

It may just be the “character” of the bike - do any specific forums suggest cures?
Have you checked tyre balance etc?

Is it a sort of buzzing that changes with engine revs?

If so then you want some heavier weights in your bar ends.

I have some lovely heavy bar end weights (I think they are Oberon,). Crucially they mount to the OE internal bar fittings which istr provide further damping.

Possibilities:-

Try a heavier bar end weight on one handlebar.

Melt lead into the bars.

Ride faster.

I was going to suggest that, reminded by how vibration increased when a weight fell off.

However, if it's a long-term problem, has it persisted through tyre changes?

All through the rev range, increasing with revs, or at a specific band?

One of my bikes was particularly - well, 'relatively' - rough at 70-80 mph in top gear. "It was the bike that made me do it, officer!"

Probably cheaper filling the bars with lead shot.

I've seen people suggesting filling bars with sand.

I bought some lead bar ends from Ebay. Sorted the problem 100%
