Trying not to have a heart attack or stroke! :wtf: Hopefully getting a meds tweak to counter my ever increasing blood pressure. So due to that, loafing about, drinking water and avoiding salt where possible. Hopefully, my new bike shopping efforts will be fruitful assuming I can decide on what I actually want!

Bloody work then Guinness on Saturday evening.
Possible cinema on Sunday afternoon.
I'm toying with the idea of some low level DIY ...

It's started well/interesting. Took the shopping trolley hybrid in for a software recall and was handed an all-electric Ford as courtesy car - with >100 miles charge. (Makes a change from the usual tankful of fumes).

It's like the hybrid but the IC engine never kicks in.

Apart from the ridiculous amounts of info on the displays I rather like it. The replacement for the shopping trolley will, almost certainly, be electric (and, maybe, the replacement for my car too).

The rest of the week depends on the weather.

Friday: Day off today, and taking myself away for the weekend as work is so bloody busy and stressful currently, and my house is a bit of a doer-upper and just need to get out of there for a few days. So, Airbnb in Anstruther on the Fife coast in Scotland. Taking warm clothes, books, sketch book/paints, no work phone etc. Airbnb looks out over the sea. Issue is the weather is bad, not looking forward to driving over the Tay Bridge in high winds. Will be stopping in St Andrews to do a bit of sightseeing and mooching around.

Saturday - if weather clears - mooching around Anstruther/Pittenweem/Crail. If weather is still bad, curling up with a book and staying inside.
Sunday - finish visiting St Andrews and driving back home to Aberdeen - hopefully destressed :)

Well that's my weekend plans cancelled, then... :(

This weekend: Not much.

I'm still struggling with jetlag, even though I've been back in Blightly since Tuesday. So tonight I'm doing nothing and will probably be nodding off on the sofa by 8.30. I'll try to tough it out and stay up 'til at least 10pm. :D

Saturday I have a few things to do around the house, so I'll go gym, walk hound and crack on. Saturday out with friends for a birthday curry.

Sunday, long dog walk and chill.

The inlaws have invited us to go see a band at their local club.

I looked the turn up, they don't look bad.

If he has a stroke over the new bike, will that make it a keeper…? :D

Work, 5k run and PT session at the gym today

More pottering around the house with potentially some day job work thrown in, there have been rumblings about tax year end deadlines already…

Sunday, 8k run and usual domestic tasks.

Back from South Africa today. From 32C to this miserable grey feels like 0C in the wind weather. urghhhh.

Saturday: Take son out for breakfast. Meeting with a candidate in the morning.

Sunday: Take a service. Sleep. Back into the grind of Parish ministry.

It was cloudy this morning so I bailed on taking skis up to resort and indulging. By the time I saw the sun out it was pretty much too late (needed to shower, change, sort stuff for skiing, drive etc!) - also, I'm kinda bored of driving every day, so sometimes it's nice to just be home! Also, I baked, cleaned, did washing, tried to organise/sort stuff and also shelled a ton of walnuts, that is a bastard of a job and I still have three times as many left to do :o :o :o but not today!! I am trying to chill in front of the fire, but the compacted logs don't seem to be catching right now :( :( gutted :( :(

Saturday - transfers, probably a 4:30 start, so up at about 3:30 !!! But, hopefully it'll be the normal trip to Lyon airport just because I've baked cake for my colleagues :)
Last Saturday one of the guys brought a Galette de Roi (basically a puff pastry round filled with frangipane  ) from home, not sure if he made it of his wife!
Someone commented on the cake I'd made back in the interseason so I agreed to make cake for this weekend :) :)
I have brownie (straight ones, we're driving :) ) and ginger cake - I'm sure the ginger cake will cause a lot of comments because the French (well the men) seem to attach certain connotations to anything ginger    Hey ho

Sunday - usually a slightly later start but still, transfers ! Normally GVA (cos the tour operator likes me :) ) and a bit of a wait there, but that's ok cos I can just chill :)

EDIT : the weird logs have just seemed to 'catch' so it looks good :) :)

Same as I've done every weekend this year, potter about restlessly, moan about the weather and wait for spring. Nearly there :P

FFS - for the first saturday since the start of winter I am not starting at stupid o'clock in the morning   So I could have gone up for a late ski and dinner cos don't have to be at work till midday

Oh well. Can fix something nice for a later dinner (instead of a sliver of cheese or a soup!) enjoy the fire a bit longer and then go do the shop I avoided today before I go to work tomorrow !!

Today: WFH

Tomorrow: Get a new tattoo. First time in the best part of two decades.
Possibly also watch an ice hockey match, or go to a mates for dinner - TBC.

Sunday: Admire my tattoo. Help a mate do her tax return.

Into Brighton today, for the first time in ages - I now remember why now!
Stocked up with provisions at the Asian supermarket
If it stops raining, painting the re-rendered bits of the house tomorrow before having to go to what will be an absolutely dreadful party, with a theme of the 1970s. I hate fancy dress, and sobering in my DNA just think it is totally stupid. Hence I will be going as I am !
Sunday - not sure - maybe more painting so we can get rid of the scaffold
