Considering the hip issues and how much you loved the Harley, it makes sense

How about the rebel 1100, same dct engine different chassis with midget seat height.
MrsTaff has the 500 and it's fairly decent considering it has just 47bhp.

I didn't realise they did it in DCT, that's actually a pretty good shout for Ole' Tiepin.

883 is the wrong riding position with a bent forward position to reach the bars and your legs stuck forward as well. The Scout looks doable though as the bars lean back. Downside to cruisers is that you're very low down and that's not ideal for commuting in heavy traffic, not that it would stop me though! Food for thought...

I did sit on one before, but couldn't get on with the riding position as my legs were too bent and i felt cramped?

MT-09 Y-AMT it is then :)

There's quite a few Honda bikes with e-clutch now, but it only automates the clutch, you still have to prod the gear lever.

After some long drawn out considerations and careful forward planning, i'm pleased to announce those 4 minutes have been wisely spent, and a conclusion has been achieved. I shall be visiting a dealer tomorrow and formalising the details. Check in tomorrow for a somewhat underwhelming conclusion to this carefully considered quest. I feel a new, longer-term, forever bike is on its way! :o

Things are a bit awkward at the mo. I cant find a pen and paper, and i dont want to reveal my carefully considered, long term decision, ahead of making the deal, but if i dont note it down somewhere, I may forget by morning and mistakenly buy something else!
