Has anybody else got examples of motorcycle projects held together with JB Weld. I've been using the stuff for probably 5 years now and the uses seem to be endless. I always wanted to make things but without a welder this was almost impossible until I discovered this product. Here's one example.
I used some scrap bits of ally and 4mm plate to make these radiator side cheeks. All parts stuck together with JB Weld. Here's a couple of pics before I got the DOHC badges from USA.

It's stuff I've never used. Your efforts look cool,though.

Used it to weld the mounting points back onto 1994 Speed Triple body work. Still holding at the moment ...

Amazing glue, once you've used it you'll never use araldite again!.

Here's a chainguard that I made from some scrap 'U' section ally and glued the fixing stanctions with JB Weld.
Top chainguard is the original.

Just been reading about it. 2-part epoxy with steel filler in. Looks useful stuff and the examples above are pretty convincing!

They even say they've repaired engine blocks with it.

Yes I've even used it to modify the shape of the inlet port!

In the 70s I used stuff like an aluminium putty called Devcon. It had it's uses,but if the thing needed welded,it was a poor option.

I used it to plug a hole in a core plug in an almost unreachable spot on the back of a 406 motor (it was pissing coolant like a hose). Still holding 50k later.

Yes I remember once using some metal putty to try and recover a stripped thread, but it failed miserably

To test it we cleaned two scrap valve faces , JB welded them together, after setting we put one end in a vice and dropped a hammer from different heights, starting low of course, it took a far few hits and height to brake the jb weld

I used JB Weld to repair the table on a pillar drill that had the 'arc of shame' where people had drilled through the table, leaving it looking like swiss cheese. I then got it surface ground flat and it's been fine for years. Also used JB weld to bond two 'wedges' to the top plate of my Falco top yoke so it had a flat surface to mount risers on. Been great for nearly three years.

I used JB Weld to fix the dilithium crystal articulation frame in the warp core of my Excelsior class starship and it's been fine.

I used JB Weld to reshape the inlet port on my dohc engine. The engine had a recess at the top of the inlet port to assist fuel injection but since I'd fitted a carb this wasn't needed so I filled it in. I first drilled and threaded the top of the port and secured some ally mesh into the recess, I then filled it with JB weld. Finally I smoothed an polished the newly filled area. I did similar to the inlet port adapter to match them together.

I used JB weld to repair a cylinder head mounting on my R1.

I attempted to remove a set of cheap shite upper crash bungs and the bolt sheared. I attempted to drill out / use easi-out stud removers and as the wedged shaped tool bit into the seized bolt, it split the casing and the broken stud just fell out.

JB weld on the broken shard, remaining threads and hand tighten bolt saw a ‘temporary’ fix that lasted all 10+ years I owned the bike. I did pick up another cylinder head with a view to getting that ported, flowed, tuned whatever before installing but it remained in a box long after the bike was sold.

As far as I’m aware that fix is still holding fast.

Made up these side panel badges. Basically the letters were cut out of 3mm scrap ally then glued with JB Weld to some 4mm plate. Then some masking, black spray and polishing.

I heard the Virgin Mary became pregnant after using some JB Weld to fix her push iron.

I was putting a gearbox on a RWD Mk6 transit engine. Bugger would not line up properly so started to tighten top nuts to straighten it up more. Heard a crack and seen a six inch line up the back from the bellhousing area. Once all back together i put JB weld up the crack and never had any issue with it. I stupidly changed a DMF for a solid that day and regretted it instantly but due to the crack i was not going back in.
