It hasn't happened yet, but I have room for it & the $$$. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get it here from Huntington Beach...or how to get to HB so I can ride it back.

Apparently it runs like it did the day it left the dealership. Everything works.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 9:35 pm Nice, do the injection and ignition work as they should?
Those are about the only things that go wrong with them so all should be good.ZRX61 wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 11:17 pmApparently it runs like it did the day it left the dealership. The igniter box on mine died, Kawasaki wanted £600 odd for a new one (no used ones about) so I replaced the whole ignition with a Dyna 2000 setupZRX61 wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 4:24 pm A few years ago, some bloke was selling one of those Kaw factory electronics diag machines, regretting not buying it then... now looking on Ebay for one.
It's not here yet...probably gonna be after ChrimbleSkub wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 5:05 pm Ya need to start a thread in the 'owners/projects' section, otherwise this one will drop off the page pretty fast.![]()
Mine has Mikuni RS34s, I think I'd rather have fuel injection as it hardly gets ridden and modern fuel gums up the pilot jets, I drain the carbs every time after it's run but it still has problems.
Probably, people have used the mega squirt and the original throttle bodies with good results. TBH I can't really be arsed to spend much on it as I like owning it more than riding itKungFooBob wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 9:23 pm Would a modern EFI setup work better, make more BHP?
Stick a set of GSXR1000 throttle bodies on it and a Megasquirt ECU.
