What's happening with links showing up as share.google addresses, readers have no idea where they lead and are less likely to click through than if a proper www address were shown?

Seems it's on the posters and how they have got their browsers set up / how they copy a URL

Possibly a side effect of AI data gathering? If a google server holds the data it can offer it to related queries and keep a record of the number of hits.
