Talk to me about the Moto Guzzi 750 Targa

Post by ..... »

I fell in love with the looks of the Imola II when they were new, but accepted that a 350cc pushrod twin was never going to do it for me.
Been thinking about the V65 Lario, but the thought of trying to find replacement heads fills me with dread!
Does anyone have experience of the 750.
Or is it likely to be a case of 80/90s italiana which means long waits in a lay-by awaiting a big yellow lorry?

I also fancy a Honda NT650, but can't bring myself to buy/own a bike called a bros........why didn't they call it the hawk as it was in the US?

Why not buy a Hawk then?

It's slightly lower spec than the Bros, but a few made it over the pond in the 90's.

Just had flashbacks to DaveTheBunny's story about nearly writing off his nitrous'd Bros (or was it a Hawk?? can't remember).

IIRC he had the nitrous wired into the horn button and accidently left it "primed" one day on a commute and was cut-up by a bus on a roundabout. Beeping the bus in annoyance sent him unexpectantly flying across the road and into a hedge! :D :D (or something similar.)

Might be cheaper for a sticker set!
