Sat. More racing and some air-bag for him, he's got the DH race on Sat. So i'm on the spanners
Sun. More racing, Enduro this time for him, should be an easy spanner day
Mon. BH and my wedding anniversary, may treat the wife :)

Shopping. :D

The £££s from the 30 year old life assurance bond that we cashed in has landed. 🥳 🍾 🥂

So, a few treats in store. Nothing extravagant, no bling watches, coke and hookers or jet skis. (Most of it is going straight into cash ISAs/cars and home improvement funds).

There may be some new boots and panties though.

Unfortunately we've had a last minute booking from Sunday. So I'll be spending the day making sure everything is up to scratch.

I would expect a Giraffe's long neck to be more of an advantage as a striker ?

What species of giraffe are they?

It's been discovered that there's actually four different types.

Working from home today, as indeed I will be all of next week at least, until we get the nod that the new office is open. Hence yesterday was, possibly, my last day as a London commuting biker. No parking at the new place so I'll probably end up a 'train wanker' for three days a week going forward. Mrs. G keeps asking what I plan to do with the Tiger. Keep it for now, is my stock answer.
As I'm WFH today I'll paint my nails, but more on that below...

Anyhow, Saturday I'll be up for the 8.15 gym class then a post-workout coffee and natter with the ladies. Out in the evening for our annual themed dinner party, appropriate dress essential. The theme this year is 'Heroes and Villains'. My outfit requires face paints , prosthetic bits of latex and Vinted's finest apparel. :D

Sunday - getting home as we're all crashing round friends (see above), walk dog, vow never to drink again and have an early night.

Bank Holiday Monday - given that my hangovers now last two days, more of the above.

Took the day off. Currently sitting in the sun waiting for the misses to decide what she wants to cook for the family who are visiting on Sunday, so we can go buy the stuff after a wander around town.

Tomorrow i daresay there'll be some mowing....

Sunday family visit, lots of good food, drinking and banter.

Monday, lunch out then hopefully as little as possible. If it's nice i might see about getting the bike out.

Today, car dropped off for minor service and brake fluid change, £190 all in, main dealer wanted that for the service alone. New, new flooring has arrived and is the correct shade of brown, I’ll be keyboard bashing all day trying to get a couple of cases passed to my researcher to keep her busy next week while I’m off. Currently being thwarted by IT issues… pick car up and start clearing contents of furniture in the lounge. I may defer this in favour of watching the final Mission Impossible film. Although I do need to hump in 600kg of flooring so it can start to acclimate.

Tomorrow, rip up carpets & underlay, remove gripper rods and nails, scrape and secure floorboards, lay new underlay and start setting out flooring which needs to be perpendicular to the archway to the dining room as the flooring is going to continue into there at a later date. Prepare a load of dough for pizzas on Sunday.

Sunday, tidy up the house in preparation of arrival of daughters and their partners for pizzas from the new oven, they are supplying labour to move the items of furniture I can’t manage by myself. Current menu is margarita, pepperoni, nduja, fennel sausage with sprouting broccoli and a dessert pizza with custard, Biscoff biscuits and spread, latter ones are recipes from Peddling Pizza. Doggo is going to stay with the ex for a week( :banana-wrench: :banana-wrench: :banana-wrench: ) which means lie ins

Monday - Saturday, week off, floor laying

Sunday, arrival of new sofas which prompted the change in flooring!

They are so wrong.

And yet, so right.

I always find myself gravitating to the Nutella calzone when I'm in Bologna (no idea if it's a regional thing or just this one shop's quirky speciality) but bugger me senseless, it's good.

And I don't even like Nutella.

WFH today as usual, trying to chill after a busy couple of days with the wife celebrating her birthday!

Neighbours grand home official unveiling tomorrow evening, should be a late one!

Wife is out Sunday, so may get out on the trusty Beemer for a few miles if I'm not feeling too rough.

Unpacking the camper, well, sort of helping the wife do it, then cleaning it. Then I have to clean the 2 cars as well. Check the bike starts. Cut the long weeds where the lawn used to be. :wtf: And thats about it. Still dont go back to work for another week, so might even attempt to get some new decking put down, or go away in the camper again? Decisions, decisions...
