Track training vids...

Post by weeksy »

Thought it may be useful to have some track videos, but not just going round in circles but with some thought, input, advice.

Someone posted one of his vids during the very early days of lockdown. I watched several (minibikes training is very good!) but couldn't find it when I looked recently, so ta for posting.

He's very engaging and extremely analytical. I know some people don't like the 'thinking too much' idea, but it works for me when someone can break down a skill into 'component parts' - then explain the 'why' and benefits from each.

My Donington video was done to show throttle, brake and clutch control.

Also racing lines and usual stuff.

Part of a presentation for road riders, but will be useful for those making the transition from road to track.

Thought I'd seen advice on those sorts of lines before.

"The Power Line" in Superbike, 1986, from when topflight racers were drifting out of bends.

The later apex 'Spencerite' line is what I developed the road 'Point and Squirt' from. You still come out faster :)
