Fixing a floor jack...

It stopped lifting owing to being full of air instead of hydraulic fluid after 30+ years. Got some fluid for it. Gave it a clean up with surpy watter outside as it was covered in snarge. Damn thing looks brand new.

Still doesn't lift as I haven't refilled it yet.

Mine has started to play up, definitely not lifting as cleanly as it used to. I assume there's air in the chamber and I need to bleed it. Probably not helped by me storing it up-ended and not leaving it sitting on it's casters.

It's a piece of piss to refill etc. Don't overfill it or it won't go all the way back down... & do it on the neighbors lawn in case it spits out the excess.

I‘ve tried to spend some time working out your acronyms so that I have some idea what you’re talking about, mostly successfully - e.g. F350,ZRX, ZX etc. But…. What on earth is an SBH? Or an ST? Are they a bit like a Super, or a De Luxe, which means something’s got a heater and 2-tone paint?

ShitBox Honda. Ford Explorer ST, the 400hp twin turbo V6 version. It's a bit quick.
