Kop Hill Climb Sept 20th & 21st 2025

Post by Dickyboy »

It's a great day out, early bird tickets available now & riders/drivers entries open at the end of the month for pre 1984 bikes, although they give preference to pre war stuff. Plan on entering the Morini 500 as it's the owners club 50th anniversary this year

I've been a couple of times.

My family used to go regularly, but apparently it's become hard to get into and had become a bit "snooty". A bit like the Goodwood Revival has become very money orientated, so they (Kop Hill) are now somewhat fussy about who they let enter and with what vehicles. I guess that's probably mainly due to the classic vehicle market becoming very much an investment market, (although i think that bubble is going to burst soon enough)

I've been a few times, only entered once before on my dad's old Brough so didn't get any snootiness then, but yes money has certainly changed the owner types but you can get snootiness in any spheres of life, I think the investment market has already burst to be fair. Mind you the usual commentator is very much a car bloke but I think a classic bike guy (Tiddler?) has commentated more recently.

I should see you there then as I usually go every year as a spectator, I think it's a great event from viewing/walking round the paddock perspective.
