(However, the Texas Liverpudlian that bought all the old inventory seems to have done well out of it, but even he was sued by John DeLorean's widow over use of the brand. The original cars, Back to the Future not withstanding, were utter pants though

My uncle was pally with a local motoring journo who had one for a road test. At the time my uncle was running about in a Vauxhall Viva with basically Firenza droop snoot running gear and a bit of tuning. It was much quicker than the DMC12.
I'd love one of the rebuilt ones with the 400bhp Kia V6 twin turbo motor in it though
