Celebrity. I know I've banged on about it before but it's very curious what we'll forgive some people for whilst hounded others for similar activities.

In light-hearted, non-political financial news, weak Euro data has pushed GBP/EUR to 1.20.

Whereas we could wax lyrical about how this impacts the Euro-economy, I will simply limit it to saying that you might want to change a few quid into euro on your Revolut card (or similar, other pre-pay cards are available) if you have a little holiday to Euroland planned any time soon. Rate will probably retreat soon.

I work in Germany 2012 - 2020. When I started the exchange rate was 1.19 to the GBP, it dropped as far as 1.13 and then rose again to 1.16. When I left being full time in Germany I negotiated my salary at 1.17 euros to the GBP.
Then throught out the next few years it varied between 1.11 and 1.17.

If Brexit affected the GBP it was for a short time.
It did affect the GBP against the dollar and the Euro against the dollar.

Now, when I moved to CH, the Euro was at 1.45 to the GBP (2002) - that was a big fall
