Perfect for Sunday service
It does - it also doesn't just come on, it slowly fades in IME as the level drops. Can't speak for what happens when you replace the standard incandescent lamp with an LED one though. I'd guess it takes longer to come on so your reserve is effectively less.Hairybiker84 wrote: Sat Nov 27, 2021 12:20 pm Don't know if yours has the low fuel LED like the Daytona but if so, you might want to get the brightest LED you can - Mine was very dim and way too easy to miss.
I know it was almost impossible to see on a sunny dayMr. Dazzle wrote: Sat Nov 27, 2021 9:18 pmIt does - it also doesn't just come on, it slowly fades in IME as the level drops. He walks on water, rather cooler than riding a Harley or a Triumph.
What's the rest of the list big-man ?the_priest wrote: Thu Dec 02, 2021 7:06 am Fitted the Bar Risers. Need new front brake lines for sure and have ordered the double race setup, line to each caliper getting rid of the over the mudguard loop. New rear line as well. Should be delivered before Christmas, but not a rush as I'm not riding until it is all done and lots more to do!

No idea yet. Not taken the tank off yet.... I'll get there in the end. But yes, those will be changed as the plastic ones are so brittle at this age and a nightmare!
Good idea. I did one on my 2001 Sprint RS a few years ago, not that difficult, but does require some thought and an reasonably empty tank!Mr. Dazzle wrote: Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:27 am If you do change 'em you might as well get a new fuel filter while you're at it. IIRC it's inside the tank on the back of the metal plate which the fittings go in to. The fittings themselves are on the rubber hoses which plug into said tank, but since you're in there...
Is it ULEZ compliant or are you not in the zone?the_priest wrote: Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:18 am 20 years old now, so probably ready to just fall apart... hoping they have been changed, but I am prepared to spend the money. I am enjoying working on this bike, is is relatively "simple". Early EFI, but fuelling well enough. Starts on the button, sounds great with the carbon TOR exhaust. Little joys in life.
Previous owner lived right in the ULEZ zone and had it tested at a Dyno and it is registered for ULEZ as a result. Win win for me as I live close to the zone, but can avoid it for the majority of my travels. Nice to the an antidote to the Wrath of Khan.Taipan wrote: Thu Dec 02, 2021 12:54 pmIs it ULEZ compliant or are you not in the zone?the_priest wrote: Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:18 am 20 years old now, so probably ready to just fall apart... hoping they have been changed, but I am prepared to spend the money.
