You could at least use black cable ties to hold the guard on the oil cooler, and trim the ends off!

Previous owners bodge. I've not got to that one yet!! You can see the dirt on them, promise it is not me! I will looking for a radiator cover and a nicer oil cooler cover as well. Black cable ties for the interim!!

Don't know if yours has the low fuel LED like the Daytona but if so, you might want to get the brightest LED you can - Mine was very dim and way too easy to miss.

It does - it also doesn't just come on, it slowly fades in IME as the level drops. Can't speak for what happens when you replace the standard incandescent lamp with an LED one though. I'd guess it takes longer to come on so your reserve is effectively less.

Fitted the Bar Risers. Need new front brake lines for sure and have ordered the double race setup, line to each caliper getting rid of the over the mudguard loop. New rear line as well. Should be delivered before Christmas, but not a rush as I'm not riding until it is all done and lots more to do!

Fuses check, change 10A for 30A fuse - Done
Replace Instrument Cluster back box - Done
New engine bolts, stainless steel - Started
Speedo Cable - Ordered - now fitted
Clutch Cable – Waiting to change
LED Bulbs for Headlights - Done
LED Bulbs for Instrument Gauges – Waiting for 286 bulbs - now fitted.
Oil and Filter Change – Waiting to change in 2021 after some more miles
Fit Bar Risers – Waiting for Delivery of longer M10 Allan key bolts - now fitted
Replace Indicators – Waiting for Delivery arrived and waiting on time needed to fit.
Replace Brake reservoir – Waiting for Delivery - lost by Hermes.
Fit Fork Guards – Waiting for Delivery - Fitted.
Fit Spark Plugs - Waiting to be changed

No idea yet. Not taken the tank off yet.... I'll get there in the end. But yes, those will be changed as the plastic ones are so brittle at this age and a nightmare!

I remember mine being brittle and shit in about 2004 when the bike was only 7 years old.

20 years old now, so probably ready to just fall apart... hoping they have been changed, but I am prepared to spend the money. I am enjoying working on this bike, is is relatively "simple". Early EFI, but fuelling well enough. Starts on the button, sounds great with the carbon TOR exhaust. Little joys in life.

If you do change 'em you might as well get a new fuel filter while you're at it. IIRC it's inside the tank on the back of the metal plate which the fittings go in to. The fittings themselves are on the rubber hoses which plug into said tank, but since you're in there...

Good idea. I did one on my 2001 Sprint RS a few years ago, not that difficult, but does require some thought and an reasonably empty tank!

Is it ULEZ compliant or are you not in the zone?

Previous owner lived right in the ULEZ zone and had it tested at a Dyno and it is registered for ULEZ as a result. Win win for me as I live close to the zone, but can avoid it for the majority of my travels. Nice to the an antidote to the Wrath of Khan.
