I'm the same. I've spent a few years learning enduro. But last week I realised I was using my arms too much.
So I gripped with my knees, then my arms stopped aching so much.
So now I have strength for when I need it on the tricky bits :)
You might need higher bars on your dirt bike, have you had anyone look at your riding position, from memory you're about 6ft tall so I wouldn't be surprised if the standard riding position is a bit low.
I sit down, so perfect height :)

Well it's another day at Silverstone GP for the wife tomorrow... I've got all the kit ready and just need to wait for later for it to cool down so i can get it loaded into the motor. Looks like it'll be a warm one for sure.

It'd look better if it was the 890R it's blocking sight of.

I’ve been persuaded to book 12/9 I’ve had a look at silverstones t&c’s and can’t see any mention of back protectors (not that I won’t wear one) or brake lever guards, is it just trackday companies that insist on these requirements ?

I don't believe Silverstone have ever looked/checked and i don't see anything in their documentation.

If it's for the MT10 i probably have the one from the XSR900 that'll fit i rekon.

Back there tomorrow.

Due to the craziness of the van not van, I'm without transportation options for the bike. So the only option is that I'm riding it to Silverstone and then back home after trackday lol.
