Look past the hype and cultish bollocks. It's utterly hilarious and devastatingly poignant. If you watch it and don't like it I'll give you my house.Docca wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 7:08 am Christ, it’s taken me until now to realise who some of you are
I will never see Withnail and I.

Strange how some films don't age well, and this is one of them. I used to love it, but watched it a few years back and it's cringe-worthy now.
BTTF is probably no. 1 for me. Watched it with a live orchestra performing the musical score at the Royal Festival Hall a couple of years ago.Docca wrote: Mon Mar 01, 2021 9:46 pm So Die Hard is the one I’ve probably seen most, but there are so many. Might help nudge :
Ferris Buellers day off ( and any of the Brat Pack stuff too)
Back to the Future
Or have you noticed how Walter Peck (aka "Dickless"), the EPA guy who shut down the Ghostbusters was exactly right about them being dangerous and was just doing his job properly?gremlin wrote: Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:20 pmStrange how some films don't age well, and this is one of them. Ditto Ferris Bueller - used to be my teenage role model. Watched it a few years back and he's just a lazy, smug bully.
I think history will show him to have been the victim of both bullying and victimisation for not having genitals. We should deplatform Ghostbusters.Mr. Dazzle wrote: Thu Mar 04, 2021 7:26 amOr have you noticed how Walter Peck (aka "Dickless"), the EPA guy who shut down the Ghostbusters was exactly right about them being dangerous and was just doing his job properly?gremlin wrote: Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:20 pmStrange how some films don't age well, and this is one of them.
