I'm in the other 50% then! I read the part where Fran is in Waffle's kitchen and sees the filled cat bowls.I didn't recall anything previous about a cat,so I thought it must still to be revealed... :hmmm:

The cat mention at the end threw me, I must admit - remembered the cat bowls but had to have a search on a particular keyword to be reminded of the relevance.

Having just finished the latest Matt Haig (The Life Impossible), and sobbed my way through the latest Frederik Backman (My Friends), both of which I'd recommend, I was wondering what to start next.
I used to love Carl Hiaasen, it's been an absolute age since I read his stuff, and I keep idly contemplating a re-read, but here we are - decision made, I'll keep an eye out for the cat and report back πŸ‘

Well, I've just started Carl Hiaasen, so it's like a kind of swap in a way πŸ˜€

I spend a LOT of my spare time reading. All fiction and usually crime type books (ok recently some werewolf fantasy stuff, but that was true escapism!!)

Basically, the genre of this book is my go to read.

Honestly. I was not disappointed. Although that is no where near what I want to say!!

I bloody loved it!! The cat - bastard cats are awesome and this one is particularly enigmatic (I think that’s the right word?)

I will have to read again as I spent yesterday reading a fair bit in 2-3 minute β€˜bits’ !! Not ideal but actually works for the way I read (I can’t actually read β€˜properly’*, so struggle with some writing styles - not this tho!!!)

Thanx loads to whoever started the thread - and to Slenver for writing! As an ex horsey person (grew up riding, although not dressage particularly) I have just downloaded the horsey books to my kindle for a giggle - hopefully Amazon isn’t lying and they are by you!!!

10/10 - will be ordering the actual book once I’ve moved and have book cases again πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Thank you loads 😊😊😊

* dyslexia caused, probably, by dyspraxia makes reading interesting sometimes - it’s why I tend to read everything by an author that I can actually read easily!!!

Just finished it (after a strategic handful of weeks break when I've had no time to read 😭).

Light hearted, great characters, funny, well-written. What's not to like? Highly recommended! 😎😎😎

Oh, and I read it on Kindle and was therefore able to search for the cat reference - clever call back πŸ˜†
