HI All!

Hope your all good and things are going well in your lives :P

Just thought I would put up a quick update on the RGV as its been a long time since I last mentioned anything of it. I have been getting some good miles in since my last update in March - Interrupted by pregnancy chaos, nappy changes and many 2am feeds but in-between the stress, Fatigue and joy of a new life coupled with a new S1000RR vying for attention I have got some good time on the RGV and its been great.

I enjoy riding this just as much as my S1000RR, its such good fun. I thought to begin with I would be ultra cautious on it as I have spent so much time, Money and sweat on it cosmetically but as soon as I am on it I just ride the wheels off of the thing - Its great

Engine is 100% on song and now that the suspension set up is pretty much where I want it to be its vastly improved over the initial wobbly settings I had in for its first track day and run out in the summer of last year. Always a bit of a shock however when getting off of the BMW and onto the RGV how fast it falls into the corners (I'm struggling a little with the RR at the moment as it feels slow to turn so even more sensitive with the turn in speed of the RGV) and also I have to remember that I have no engine braking at all so need to remember to use the brakes at all times

So the rest of whats left of the summer will be a case of enjoying the RGV as much as possible until the weather starts to close in which to be honest, I don't think is too far away now! I have a list of winter jobs that need doing which I hope I may have time to complete in between the little man and also my RG125 Rebuild which has come to a complete (and expected) stall this year.

Oil tank is leaking from a dodgy repair and needs replacing along with the faulty level sensor - I have the part ready to fit.

LH Crash damaged switchgear to be replaced - I have a part ready to fit

Anti-Rust Treatment for the fuel tank

Replacement of fuel strainers due to the above issue

Possible re-covering of the rear seat if I can find a suitable solution

I would like to do a brake upgrade at some point to a decent set of Nissins from an RF or similar as the standard Tokicos are wooden and crap , I will possibly pick that up at some point as the callipers pop up on Ebay now and again for very low money but not essential at this time.

Will keep this thread updated as I progress - But for now..... Lets keep on riding!

Just noticed the 'Show us your growler' award. I assume they know the other meanings of 'growler'.

Ho yus I am.

I'm pleased to announce also that the RGV has won its first award courtesy of 44Teeth in the form of being the winner of the 'Show us Your Growler' Section of their new lockdown news show a couple of weeks ago..... High praise indeed, Nice to see it out there for all to see too!

I know 3 other meanings of 'growler' and only one of them is a Devon pasty.
