ANy more for voting then ?
If we don't get your votes in guys i can't take it into consideration.
Currently though it's looking like Sept 2/3/4 being the choice.

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza.
You're exactly the sort i'd love to encourage if i'm honest... we've had lots of newbies over the last decade, people have gone on to race and some have never done one again... However all of them have seemed to really enjoy both the days and the tracktime.
The one thing i don't get is why we don't get more 'visitors' like @Bigyin used to do.... We see all these same faces here day after day, year after year, but so many remain nothing more than 'virtual' and that honestly confuses me a little.
@G.P has floated a camping weekend but i'm not actually sure that gained a lot of momentum either.

Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
OK, i've pinged the request for our allocation to @Alan PBTD for the 2/3/4 of Sept as that seems to be the date getting picked along with 'either' with no votes for July... it just makes sense.
I know it's early in the year, but i like to not mess big Al about and get things in place, signed sealed and sorted as early as possible so he knows where we are and what we're up to.
So the list below will not be a 'only sign up if you're 100%' it's more an indication of 'yeah i fancy a bit of that, obviously things may change, but at this stage.... sure'
Assuming all goes well, we'll be there on the Friday too for the days riding but the main day will be Saturday.
So for anyone who's not been or wants info, "what happens here" is your question.
Basically you get 20 mins per hour on track... then 40 off... throughout the day... getting 7 sessions in your days riding.
the first 2 laps of EVERY session are ridden behind instructors, that's in ALL groups, all sessions. You then ride the rest of the session at your own pace.
There's 3 groups to choose...different people have different definitions, but for ease of discussion,
Novice
Intermediate
Fast
Is the terms we'll use.... Novice can mean 'not fast, not confident' as well as an actual novice to trackdays. Up to you.
Your bike MUST be roadworthy, trackworthy, or just worthy..... lights, plates, indicators, we don't care.... but bring a bike you'll be happy doing 120mph into a 30mph hairpin on If you're not confident of it stopping... .why are you riding it
Tyres, you can ride anything, anything and everything... we'll give you advice on pressures... but essentially, if you can ride it there, you can ride it on the track.
Food is available at circuit, all day... fromt breakfast to lunch, and if allowed this year, beer in the evening. We as a forum often provide BBQ on the Sat evening and camping at the track. This didn't happen in 2021 due to Covid19, but we hope this year we'll do the BBQ. There's a cost per person of £10 which will cover ALL food and ALL beer. (If you have any specific dietary requirements, let us know... it will be 99% meat and bread based unless requested)
Leathers will be 1 piece or 2 piece with full zip around
Boots, gloves, helmet, well, they'll need to be decent... don't be turning up in your trainers put it that way.
@Alan PBTD will tell you rules about noise, riding etc.... so we'll leave that to him.
Any questions... feel free.

OK I think going to start planning on doing a mini-tour through Wales on way down and back (but not throwing myself and associated bits of metal and plastic down the track.) to coincide with your BBQ social if that's possible.
Probably Snowdonia / coastish on way down and borders on way back up going through Cheste area area both ways. Probs looking at around 5 hours each way.

THat sounds FAB.
@Mr OCD and Buble Shoes used to do it from Preston way. I wonder if we can persuade @Claude to come out of reitrement.
We'll be getting there late afternoon/evening on the Thurs and booking the Premier Inn for the Thurs and Fri night. Sat night will be at the track.

Company welcome but it will be a trundle rather than a blastDitchfinder wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 2:36 pm OK I think going to start planning on doing a mini-tour through Wales on way down and back (but not throwing myself and associated bits of metal and plastic down the track.) to coincide with your BBQ social if that's possible.

Plenty of time to warn the Welsh ambulances and hospitals.
That's assuming she doesn't damage herself on the way there.

TBF, I won't be riding to Pembrey, just whilst there!! LOL
And I'm heading to Novice to be nice and gentle, so, if I make it, hopefully all will be well

The back protector issue needs clarifying sometime, oh and a 12oz fillet of finest Scottish mule.and a gallon of stong lager, not any weak piss.

Are the track days on all three days (Fri-Sun)? Do you know what prices they're running this year?
