Apart from the carb overhaul I'm now waiting on parts & stuff to show up.
Total so far: $808.67 (not including the Ultrasonic) Ouch!

Still need a fairing/screen, new APE pods, battery, tires, brake rotors & powdercoating.... and the kickstand gubbins.
Plus redo the seat.

and a paint job *at some point*.. Paint mate quoted me about $2k based on looking at the GPz11 last Sunday.. which isn't to bad seeing as the usual price is $500 per piece.. so tail, side covers, tank, fairing & front fender is six pieces/$3k

Which is the lazy bugger cost as I'm more than capable of doing it myself.

Still no movement on the rear brake lever pivot. If I had my press set up I'd just put some pressure on the doodad & walk away for a week.
Maybe an hour in the ultrasonic would result in some progress.

Rear brake lever is in the tumbler which is using stainless steel pins as the media, timer set to 90min.

Got snookered, something is holding the choke bar in place & I can't see WTF is it, probably a small Ping!FuckIt!

Also got a mullared airscrew(?) that doesn't want to come out. It's currently drowned in Kroil. Got all the other doodads removed though (except the choke doodads).

They've had an hour in the tank so far, they're going back in again (probably tomorrow) now I've got the emulsion tubes out. They'll also be getting a soda blast to remove the buggered paint

They call it a 30l tank, but that's if you fill it all the way to the top. I put 5 gallons in it via a bucket I filled from the hot tap in the bath.

I worked at the dealer that cover originally came from....Could have probably walked off with it back in the day. The guy had a habit of under-paying so quite a few employees made up the difference with parts out the back door... and that's all I'm saying about that

There is a budget, of sorts.. which might have got me a decent one, but I restore things (cars, bikes, tools, warbirds etc... even buildings) so I want to bring this one back.

Bunch of hardware is in the tumbler, set the timer for the max 3 hours.
Slides with the needles poked through the box so they're not resting on the diaphragms...

Gonna be like Chrimle here when all the various bike gubbins arrives. A mate sold me a speedo/tach cluster for $25, which are not only in better condition than the ones on the bike, but they also have half the mileage

Had a look in the tumbler after 2 hours, reset the timer to 3 hours again, will probably do that again before I go to bed tonight.

Still can't get the rear brake lever pivot to move even 0.0000in. It's like the damn thing is welded in place.

6lb tub of citric acid powder showing up today.

After you've tumbled them are you gonna replate them?

I've never tried it, but zinc replating looks doable at home.

NOS Generator cover & Speedo/tach showed up. Mate sold me the speedo/tach for $25

I especially like that the black speedo face is fading to the faster green
