It showed that all sorts of nations came and nobody was first.
So everybody really was equal.
Racism wasn't in the dictionary.
It's on the agenda now I believe. 'First nation people are using the words 'cultural genocide' in regards to their treatment at the hands of Europeans. Bit like Australia I think; the Europeans come, think it's theirs because they have 'found' it and oppress the people that have lived their for maybe thousands of years.

I was sitting indoors sweating like a Transit on an MOT ramp, so I've come outside and sat under the brolly. Its just started to rain and all the little LED lights have come on and there's now a slight cooling breeze. Lovely....

Right now, I'm not enjoying the smell of burning pine trees. There's a forest fire over the other side of the hill, behind Içmeler. Luckily the recent winds have died down and hopefully they'll be able to get it under control quickly. It's a fair way from me - at the moment! - and again hopefully it'll stay away. This is a photo taken from Marmaris by a friend. All I can see is smoke.

The fire is out although the helicopter crews are still damping down. Fortunately the fire didn't spread very far but it cost the life of Görkem Hasdemir, one of the firefighters on the ground.
Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

Waiting for the firm that are going to install my new front gate and fence panel. They said they'd be here at 0900 but I suspect the A27 has got them in its clutches.

Just back from a very chilled out ride. Rained non stop, tested out the traction control settings on the Triumph. Not ridden in rain much, but loved it. Needed some time to think and chill, which I have achieved.

Attempting to digest a Thai prawn noodles that appears to have ALL the heat of the sun crammed into it, I feel like the kid in the ready brek adverts. I think I’ll take a couple of Imodium when I get home tonight!
Possibly more right now posts tomorrow from the Imperial Throne.

Re: A right now thread
HI Everyone. This is me checking in and apologising for my lack of contribution lately.
I've got a lot going on both good and bad. At times it has all got on top of me a bit. I've had a month where expensive things break, work is crazy busy and my personal life is crazy busy organising events. Until last week I was thinking "at least we all have our health" but just as I thought that I found out my brother has a pulmonary embolism in his lung following a minor op and an uncle has passed away. It's all seemed a bit too much at times and while I've always handled stress well I've said and done things lately that I wouldn't normally have said and done I've looked back and asked myself "Why did I behave like that". I don't know why but I recognise it as stress.
I'm still on for the track day. My August diary is clear apart from that and I've booked my accommodation. I bumped into a friend at the weekend who has one piece Dainese leathers, worn once, that she was about to sell but will save for me at a very good price - so that was a result in amongst the chaos.
I'll be back once it's all calmed down and I can join in with the banter again. Big love.
