If it's a known issue with a simple fix, why don't the factory sort it?
For those that notice things like this, it's supposed to make quite a difference. I'm intrigued to see if that split second lag is really that noticeable when cured? 
I ended up buying one from a guy on the hyper forum. He fitted it and then wrote his bike off on his first ride out with it. Turned out it was for the later 950 with a curved rad, so it doesn't fit. 
That'll teach me to rush in and not read the ad properly! 
I didn't need the electrics to control it as I bottled it before it even had a chance to kick in!

Even setting the sag for your weight will improve the ride. It's all adjustable for a reason.
Rear shock is adjustable in te normal ways but I've not bothered doing anything. I'll look into it though and I might even get the forks resprung at some point as its very softly sprung. Rides lovely over speed bumps and pot holes though... Nope. Nothing at all. I was kinda surprised by that too!
I'm not, my Suzuki has 10mm of preload adjustment on the forks, I can't feel any difference between fully in and fully out, for reference my 35 year old FZ750 has 40mm of preload adjustment, you can feel the difference, but it isn't a big difference.

Modern bike range notifications seem to be incredibly pessimistic to me. Looking at things though and it didn't add up. So I checked and whilst the fuel light had been on for a nervous 17 miles, the bike only took 12.45 litres and its a 16 litre tank. So I should be able to make my commute as normal! Phew!
Have a look at the top of the right fork leg for something like this small black nut as its the preload adjuster on the Multi so the Hyper might have the same ....but no mention of it in the manual, just the electronics adjustment method
.....wind all the way left to the stop which is zero then add one full turn per 15kg of rider weight. Most find it best if you do the full turns for weight then wind it back half a turn. It made a huge difference to both my Multi's as they no longer dive when heavy on the brakes like a Uboat on a full ALARM!!!! call
