Then remembered it'll need an MOT in the next few weeks.

Oh bunch of arse, so had to fit the lights, mirrors and number plate etc... Cold still !!!!

Going to get the bolts out for the plate hanger... "oh, bearings.... yeah"... Need to get the rear wheel powder coated and the rear brake line replaced after the non-tightening of the bolt issue. So that's on the list too.

Anyway, it's all good and ready now to take over tomorrow.

All dropped off.

Both wheels getting powder coated so they match. Along with a full caliper service as they're a little draggy.

It must be the best looked after 6 in the world. Somewhere down the line,someone will get a good buy.

Yeah it's had a nice life. But apart from being clean and today it's no better than some. I still struggle to like the thing, but it's been good to her over the last 4 years.

4 years now

So the bike has been collected from Gav at MSG Racing, awesome service from him as always.

It has freshly powder coated gloss wheels, new bearings, new rear brake line and a full service including valve clearances (None of which were out of spec).

So we're ready to roll as soon as @Welsh Muffin can get things moving again.

Got a bit mucky on the trailer on the way home.

Another Silverstone looms and with life getting in the way lately the zx6 needed a bit of love, a bit of a wipe down and getting ready to play on Thursday.

No issues found of course, it's still looking pretty smart for a 12 year old bike

It is, but it's also a slightly neglected track bike too, but it doesn't show that. It gets an easy life though for sure and is only on 11,000 miles, which must be pretty low for one of this age. If i were being exceptionally picky, i'd like a few things fixing/painting/replacing for it to be absolutely perfect.

Some great banter in the pits with random people we've never met before.

bike fired up today, first press of the button, not been touched since 12th May lol. It lives under a soft cover in the garage to keep any dust off it etc.

Let it run up to temp and it's good to go. We likely need to throw in another rear/front when we're at Silverstone in 2 weeks, but other than that, it's golden

Still purdy too.

I do. Dunno about the 6R,but you can get that year of 10R in orange,if you prefer.

As you may have seen, the ZX6 was back out yesterday at Silverstone.

The Sportsmart TTs have had 5 days out on track now and the rear is slightly losing it's profile. @Welsh Muffin is getting more picky (not the right term maybe) as to what she does and doesn't like in tyres and profiles and it gets 'squirrely' which i think is when there's changes in profile/edges so when cornering there can be a transition between them and she's not keen.

So another set of TTs have been lobbed on there now which will do at least Silverstone in Aug and the Pembrey extravaganza day/days.

Reports are that everything still works perfectly, the bike goes, stops, changes etc as it does and as it should. I'm tempted though to get some suspension work over winter on it, it's 12,500 miles only, but the last 2000 of them have been on track, so i reckon at a minimum a full service on the forks and shock, but possibly even a new Ohlins/something in the rear depending on costs and what's about. Just freshen it up slightly.

The rest is all lovely, the powder coated wheels looks superb, the chain and sprocket are new.... it's all good. (sorta lol).

Rode it to Silverstone today. God I really hate the sportsbike riding position. But DAMN the quickshifer on this thing is fabulous. It's just the smoothest thing I've ever used in terms of QS.
