Look at the lower rails.

Do you mean where they 'droop' when it should be straight?
Even bland can be a type of character

The only KTM I've ever owned, the KTM parts were actually very reliable, unfortunately the White Power parts weren't

I mean where they've been cut away and the mounting plates welded in.
This is (a copy of) a Featherbed frame:
now - compare the the lower parts of the frame rails here :
It's not necessary - it IS possible to get the Rapide engine into the frame without cutting the rails (albeit hard work)

First bike I ever crashed was an L reg FS1E when I was 14. An older mate offered me a go on his one on the local playing field. Forgot the left hand lever was the clutch and not the rear brake (I had a Mobecane field moped at the time), and instead of slowing it just kept going. Through some bushes and a wooden fence panel.Taipan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 5:46 pm My first road legal bike, although mine was an Lreg but same colour and rack etc.

No damage to the FSIE, but I ripped the bottom of the leg of my loon pants.

I keep coming back to this picture because it's hideous and lovely in equal measure.
I wouldn't thank you for any of those individual components and the engines are horrible, but he's managed to knit it together in a way that makes it almost a really nice thing, but then the more you look at it the more horrible it is.
There is no denying he has some sort of talent.

Re: interesting bikes found randomly..
one thing the Norvin builder is not good at is realising he'd put it up on the internets, he denies hes advertised it and that the motor on its own has cost more that £32K
Despite the fact that its up on a website with all the sellers details and a price of £32K. my son was passing his place in Italy and sasked to see it . he was somewhat elusive. does it really exist.......

I think Horse may be having the same problem as me. For all I’m seeing in the photos, the bottom rail could still be there, behind a plate.Rockburner wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 5:16 pm

Wouldn’t be that hard to weld the tube back into a mild steel road frame, if anyone thought it was worth the bother.

This bullshitty write-up says the frame has been cut up, if anyone still cares!
