Another vote for the prem here. ☝ also less crap to pack. Lovely toilets and only a short ride away from track.

The sleeping location is secondary to me, higher than that is whether the lad is allowed to come over or not

But the nights at track have built some incredibly strong relationships within this community, the drunken chats about XYZ, the wandering round the pits with plates of dead animals, the falling asleep in the front of the van... It's what RTTL is all about, bikes, beers, buddies.... So to miss out on that aspect is a damn shame.
The comfy warm bed though, well yeah, that's a bit of a bonus right there isn't it :D

If we do it again this year, hopefully we can get Layton-the-taxi again too

If it was Llanelli and you were in the VIP area that certainly wasn't the Indian..

LOL i promise you it was both an Indian and a VIP area. Sheesh Mahal it was called from my random google picture search. Really nice it was. Bit slow bringing the beer at times, but we can forgive that :)

Lovely Indian that was, and as Tricky says, complimented by the tattooed chauffeur.

Hope he's not locked up. 🤔

And just to get us all in the mood nice and early for this year, and maybe also encourage any last minute stragglers( if there any places left?), here's a link to the reports from last years event :)

Most remaining Covid rules in Wales - but not all - will be scrapped from 7 August, if coronavirus rates allow, it has been announced.

Under new Welsh government plans, all legal limits on the number of people who can meet others end from that date.

Nightclubs are set to reopen, with social distancing laws replaced with a requirement for risk assessments.

But face coverings will still be required in most indoor public places, except in hospitality businesses, such as pubs
Little bit of hope for my lad there :)

I know it doesn't much matter in the grand scheme of things, we'll all still have a great time, but it would be good for us if he's allowed to play.

"and the limits on numbers that can meet in public places or at events outdoors will be removed" - can't see the circuit keeping a restriction on under 18s?

I think we (Wiltshire contingent) will all be camping Friday and Saturday

The directives come down from Drakefords office and then we have to plough through the actual wording and then we ( TDO and circuit ) have to get relative permits from Carmarthenshire County Council. This is specific to topics already discussed - under 18's attending / camping / and spectators. There's a Mini Bike race meeting there this weekend - and spectators are allowed but TD's don't operate under the jurisdiction of the ACU.

I'll let the dust settle for a bit and then see if we can get some indication of moving forward. Unfortunately the COVID infection rate is rife down here but at the moment it's not exactly reflected in hospital admissions. Talking to a Doctor customer this week tho' their big concern is potentially the no of staff being asked / forced / what ever to isolate for 10 days - and I believe these thoughts are reflected elsewhere.

Added to this is the availability of stay cation holiday accommodation - it's getting very busy in the holiday hot spots. It's my sisters birthday this weekend and they are in Cornwall - so did think about a spin down on the bike. It's 4 1/2 hours plus stops but the Premier Inns / Travelodges are looking at £160 / £180 per night !

I thought all the Pirates had gone from Cornwall years ago...

When I hear something I'll let u know.

If you fancy a trip to Norfolk i have a nice little holiday self catering chalet on the coast at a negotiable rate .... only a few dates available as the staycation thing means we are nearly fully booked but we left the rates the same as normal and didnt take the piss unlike some others .

We have booked a cottage in Cornwall for September for all of the family and waaay cheaper than premier inn / travelodge and sleeps 6 plus 2 dogs

have a look at AirBnB for stays in that area as you will find stuff a bit different and cheaper than main hotels
