I went to the Stone Island shop because there was a top I liked, but when I was trying it on I couldn't get past feeling a twat with a Stone Island logo screaming out at me.

I went for a short walk. Physically and mentally I need to do more (and stop worrying about the random pain in my arm!!). Man it's proper lush up here. Sunshine and snow. And I was in shorts for the first time this year!! I love where I live! :banana-dance:

Then chatted to a French friend who complimented me on my French. And then some Brit friends - they really want to live here but her job requires her to be in the uk often and she can't apply for residency. He has applied (and received) residency but she has to go but to the UK this weekend as she's been here for almost 90 days :o

Looks like it might be sushi tonight. The french friends run a place that was doing takeaway sushi in the season. Haven't been open the last two weekends, but are tonight

And the sun was even warm - makes a change to be able to sit out without being wrapped up in scarves and hoodies!! :banana-dance:

Put a mountain bike on Gumtree this morning.

Only reply so far is someone who’s just had heart surgery so can’t pick it up themselves.
So they’re going to send a courier and pay by PayPal.

Er no you’re not mate.

Spent another morning trying to sort out my brother in law's important paperwork. He was far from methodical,so I can see weeks of work ahead. His is the third house in the family that we need to clear and it's getting hard to see the end of it.

People accrue so much stuff and it's difficult for many reasons to find the best avenue for disposal or reuse, especially when your heart is still dealing with the loss of the person themselves.

Let me tell you all,no matter what age you are,get a will made and put the wheels in motion for power of attorney, believe me your family will thank you.

Had a half day yesterday and spent 3 hours in my lock wrestling with 25 yr old Honda bodywork - I wanted to look at the indicators and they are a right pain to get to.
My friend who worked for Lotus for a bit was quite scathing about my shut lines...
Work today but Monday off so experiment with my Beeline doohickey - just need to bolt it to the FireBlade screen stays.
Tools at Lidl tomorrow if i can be bothered .
Back to mandatory training.

As Mrs M is broken, made tea all morning, did all the housework, made sure Mrs M was OK, did washing, put washing out and have walked the dogs and will be cooking dinner later.

Just spent the last hour and half watching old Fred Dibnah stuff. By 'ell, he worked hard. And he made some brass to afford to build them steam engines and road rollers.

He was a top dude :)

Seasoned my new cast iron skillet, in fact it's still going on.. Basically involves rubbing some oil or lard on it, putting in the oven for a couple of hours & then doing it again.
I guess you could say I've spent most of the day sitting on my arse...
Roomie drove down to Tucson & somehow managed to do it in under 7 hours. It's 520 miles & I know she stopped for gas/eats at some point.

Going to drop by my Dr's office & stick my foot in his ass. Ended up in the ER again last night. BP dropped from 98/58 to 72/50 over the space of about an hour. Driving over there might not have been such a bright idea, got checked in, stuck in a wheel chair in an corridor for two hours, felt better, came home.
117/79 when I went to bed last night.
117/77 this morning. Decided NOT to take the Lisinopril today....

I'd had another bout of vertigo at the RS earlier in the day & wasn't functioning too well for a couple of hours. Luckily one of the other ZRX guys at the RS is an EMT.

Went to see a midwife :o - NO, NOT for the normal reason, they deal with all manner of girlie issues here and are brilliant!

Then went to Decathlon to buy one of those huge ball things that you can sit on (or do yoga or physio over!!) - but hey, they can't sell those direct, I have to order online and go pick it up

Back to resort - coffee with some really good friends

Then home to pick up some mini bakewells and go see another awesome friend

Back to my place for a French lesson

Now trying to get the enthusiasm to cook something for tea!! LOL

Being off work and not able to go to bars, I'm still much busier than I expected to be!!

Followed more of the same from yesterday which is the seeming idiocy of digging out something* to put something** else in then cover it up with something*** else.

* soil
** hardcore and broken up concrete
*** sharp sand and lock paving

At least I managed to get rid of the concrete I dug out yesterday.

I put a suit on and spent a full day in the office.
I don't mind at all, I'm getting paid, but it did throw into light that it's not terribly efficient, I got less actually done than I would spending half a day there and half a day from my home office, mainly because if you're there in person everyone wants your opinion on this or your input on that, and you can't get so much done. I was trying to complete a report and write an executive summary and kept getting dragged away, so in the end I packed up and did it when I got home in the evening.

The freedom to work from home, or somewhere quiet, really does have a lot of benefits, for both the individual and the company.
