What, slower than a snail and whinging all the way?

Today I've made some ramps for the sacred chickens, laid a bit of concrete, stripped down an old welder, trommeled some of last year's compost heap, tidied the shed and creosoted the last bits of the fence.

All in lovely sunshine. 'Twas brillig.

Toiled like a navvy; shifted soil, hardcore, block pavers and concrete around the garden as well as laid in conduit and power cable for lights and a couple of external sockets.

Painkillers tonight so that I can do it all again tomorrow.

Strangest thing this morning. Pulled into the gas station & while I'm getting my gloves off, the guy behind the counter comes out & starts asking me about the bike. He'd never seen a ZRX before & as mine doesn't have Kawasaki on the gas tank he had no idea what it was (hello?? It's GREEN!). Completely ignored the other customers, including two inside waiting at the counter.
Saved me a walk into the building to give him the $10 for gas, just handed it over right there at the pump. 8-)

There'll be a payback tomorrow.
I was expecting it, but no, feel better than I normally do lol! I'm going to try and buy a eBike today so I can exercise more and more! I'll either peg it or be in the next UK Olympics team! 8-)

(Yesterday), saw my mum for a birthday lunch, then went back to the family pile and mooched in the garage/workshop for a bit before thinking I'd swing a kick or two at the JAPton.....

Blow me if it didn't fire up first kick!

So, opened the door and took it out for a brief spin.

Went for lunch at a friends' chalet. Cooked a pizza in a pizza oven for the first time!! Even managed to use the 'shovel' to pick up and put the pizza in the oven!! My friend took it out - wasn't quite that brave, but managed far better than I expected!! And the pizza was lush!!

Also lent the husband of the couple a 17mm socket! Stupid how happy it made me to be able to help!! But he was very happy too cos it meant he could change the wheels on their mini!! LOL :banana-wrench: :banana-wrench: :banana-wrench:

Mmmm. Proper pizza.

I was once chatting to a pizza restaurant owner on Pompeii. I'd asked the receptionist in th ehotel where she would go for a pizza and she directed us to a little place that was heaving. The pizzas were sublime and coming out at a rate of knots. He told me his two rules for good pizza:

- Never more than 90 seconds in the oven. Any longer and your oven isn't hot enough.

- A pizza should have tomato sauce (only San Marzo) , mozzarella (surprising to me, he said cows' milk was better for pizza) and, maybe some basil when cooked. Anything more is a travesty in his opinion.

I did ask if pineapple was acceptable, then took a wary step back lest my tongue be removed by a pizza wheel for heresy. :D

I just finished off the meal I got at the bar on Friday. It took five attempts to get through it over 4 days.

Did not sleep much. Got up at 3.45am. Breakfast and tablets in a while. Pin in finger is quite "interesting".

Ended up in the ER again last night, BP was 163/109. Had an EKG, sat around waiting for over two hours, got bored, came home.
It's 107/66 this morning.
