Formula 1 highlights.
I heard the F1 race today had some action. So I looked for a highlights prog.
Both Ch4 and SkyF1 had 2 hour highlight programs.
The race is less than that . Even the most fervent F1 fan would concede the highlights could be in the 3 minute adverts breaks.
I'm off to watch the grass grow.

Does your attention span stretch to six and a half minutes?

As a result of that person's stupid actions the school is going to rerun the whole exam week the following week as well and the whole year loses out on a week's lessons.
Alternatively, my employer has been bending over backwards to get people to work from home, most of whom have, with a few of us manning the desk on a rota basis. Apart from one bloke, let's call him 'M', who likes to come in as he cycles, he has a new baby, doesn't like working at the dining room table, etc.
Anyhow, he comes in, with a cough. A colleague on another desk questions whether he should be in be. 'Just man-flu' he reassures him. Colleague drops a discreet IM to his boss, who 'M' then reassures again, that's it's just a tickle. He comes in next day too, much to people's chagrin.
Monday last week, he rings in, positive CV-19 test.
Now I'm the first to admit that I take a rather sanguine view of the whole situation around Covid, but if I developed the symptoms, had been encouraged to WFH and had the means to do so, then as a courtesy to my colleagues, I would bloody well do so.

You are so ungrateful. It's almost as if you don't want to develop herd immunity.
Do I need one of these?

That's what we're all getting for Christmas. Dashed cunning these Torries, letting us off lockdown in time for family celebrations involving all the generations.

'Torries'.
Who was it always used to mis-spell that when on a political rant?

It's one of those spelling mistakes that I take to mean that the post isn't entirely serious.

IIRC, you couldn't take Yarbles seriously. His political rants made Greenman look like Kissinger.

Webuyanycar.com boiled my piss today. Took my Sisters Beetle to them today as they quoted £1335. I knew they'd chip it back when we got there but £425. Seriously!

He did go up to £775, but I was walking out the door by then.

Courier companies that claim they've delivered a parcel.
We had a couple of 'non-existent' deliveries when we were in the house so we knew the carriers were lying. I lied about us having the front of the house under a surveillance camera and guess what? Both parcels were suddenly found and delivered.
So we bought a Ring doorbell*, now everyone who delivers can see that we have a video clip of them, or not if they haven't delivered.

How the effing hell are you supposed to prove that you DIDN'T receive a parcel when a courier company claim they have.
Not an answer to your question, but a couple of days ah a courier co emailed me a photo of the package in the porch, at least proving that the driver and package had been here.

I got fucked over by DHL. Their website showed it 'delivered to hub' same day as posting.
Then 'delivered to address' the next day.
No mention of it getting on an aeroplane
Lost about 60€.

In no particular order:
Teeth. Having had a wisdom tooth out, and subsequent infection and 2nd op to resolve that, I now need root canal treatment.
Badly-behaved kids. Was in a shop looking over the mezzanine level, down towards the up and down escalators. Along runs this little kid, stops next the Hot Wheels stand, and in quick succession throws three of the little metal cars down onto the escalator below. Along comes mum, who's witnessed this, takes kid by the hand and walks off without any reaction. FFS.
Flat-pack wardrobes. When you've built five in quick succession, the sight of yet another dowel or cam lug is enough to bring you to tears.

FTFY.
I survive with minimal wardrobes space, yet the wardrobes in my house seem to be breeding.

Today is aggressive/stupid behaviour in for sale ads
IE
"No test rides unless I have cash in my hand"
Do fuck off you jumped up little prick, most people don't even buy with cash now anyway.
