I've phoned, I’ve emailed, yet still the twat who listed a bike today, who claims to be a company, can’t be bothered to contact me. Don’t people want to actually sell the stuff they list? Why pay Autotrader to advertise your bike, then ignore all attempts to make contact.

On a separate note, why can’t SuperBike Factory understand that I’m looking for a bike, and if they have one I want I will contact them? I don’t need 5 phone calls, 3 texts and 3 emails in one day because I looked at a couple of bikes on their site.

And it’s getting cold and miserable and I’ve got to go to work soon.

Mick.
I'm guessing at some point you gave Superbike Factory permission to call you, poor obs. If not report them to the information commisioner or whatever it is now.
Well unless they're exceptionally clever, he must have given them his phone number at the very least.

Probably, I have bought 3 bikes off them in the past.
But that is beside the point, just because I look at their site, are they so desperate for a sale that I need to be bombarded with calls, texts, emails???

Funnily enough, I still haven’t heard back from the bloke on Autotrader, obviously doesn’t need my money as badly as Superbike Factory!!!

He can give them his phone number without giving permission to cold call, if he's given it for a different reason and they are using it for marketing calls they are being naughty.

So...swmbo has decreed that we will visit daughter and grand daughter this weekend .....we are in ceredigion and have no infections by us.
There was a spike when the students came back, but that seems to have been contained. Sprogs live on the cambridgeshire border just off the a14..are we being v. naughty?
Seems we are going anyway and are assured that traffic os beyond the level where it can be policed. That i find hard to believe.
But, by decree i am going to have to do it. I might tell a fib if i get stopped and say we are rescuing sprog and sproglet from an abusive relationship.....

I'd say "excuse me a moment dear, stop being daft"

You know there's no such thing as pretend dead. There's just actual dead. Dead through your lungs filling with fluid and agony.

Unless you're doing it under social distancing etc, then I'd be more for it. Or meeting them and having a picnic and walk in the park.

Maybe

If everybody travelled hundreds of miles to see family, I'm damn sure the virus would escalate.

I'm surprised that some folk don't think lockdown rules don't apply to them. What if a burglar didn't think the law applied to your house and car ?

And if we all stayed at home we could starve to death. I wonder if there's a third way, some way we could have less mingling but still preserve some form of fiscal economy and mental wellbeing.

What if a motorcyclist didn't think the law applied to them?

People who go to Bulgaria for two weeks, come home and develop virus symptoms. Then send your kid to school because his mock exams are the following week and you don't want him to miss out.
Well done, a few positive tests later and half the kids due to do their mock exams are going to miss out.
He knew on Monday as he walked home on with my daughter but was too embarrassed to say anything. :silent:

Whilst not a daily occurrence in the wife’s school, it has echos of a number of fuckwit parents:
  • Little Johnny wasn’t feeling well but we didn’t think to get him a test and save you sending x number of kids home
I did think she felt a little warm before I dropped her off
Surely you can let my darling little child in school even though we’ve all had a positive test
    Etc

Looks like I quoted the wrong post there, it was supposed to be agreeing with the complaint about people hanging bags of dogshit on trees.

As a result of that person's stupid actions the school is going to rerun the whole exam week the following week as well and the whole year loses out on a week's lessons.
