Excellent- will be good to see you again sir ( and if the 996 comes I'm hoping that it will have had a bit of TLC since the last time I saw it- it's against the law to let (almost) any Ducati look that used! )hawkati wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 8:55 am ...that and it's a damn fine funny track! Been a few years since I last popped along - the last time was the day Silverstone motogp got abandoned and I managed a whole two laps with the 996 on full wets and was still aquaplaning...

Haaaaa! It's utterly immaculate now, almost, after I got spannered at Donington last September. Throttle rubber worked loose when wide open and spiraled out 2mm into the brake lever guard. Hit the brakes hard, rear span up and I hit a tyre wall hard less than a second later. £2.5k later and it's all good. Strangely so am I. Just needs new fuel tank and powdercoated wheels to go...Tricky wrote: ↑Fri Jun 03, 2022 11:10 amExcellent- will be good to see you again sir ( and if the 996 comes I'm hoping that it will have had a bit of TLC since the last time I saw it- it's against the law to let (almost) any Ducati look that used! )hawkati wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 8:55 am ...that and it's a damn fine funny track! Re: 2022 RTTL Pembrey trackday extravaganza. Sept 2/3/4
Might pop over on the Saturday to make up the numbers for a bit with the rest of the 'shire gang away.
There's even a very (VERY*) small chance I will be looking for a slot in novices to pootle around in.

I've got a bike anyway, and it might even be working by then if I ever get time to go over to Chillit's and help him try to start the bastard

We've already committed to being away in France (friends visiting) on those dates, so I'm afraid I'll be a no-show... sorry...

I'm going to assume @singlesman wants in too ?
This is the current BBQ list as it stands....
Usual process on the BBQ, it's £10 a head payable either with cash on the day to myself or @Welsh Muffin
The fayre will be BBQ meat based mostly. It will cover anything and everything from sausages, to burgers and kebab things. We do rolls, sauces and stuff like onions of course.
On top of that will be a certain amount of beer.... Lets start with 3-4 beers/cider/whatever and go from there.
Now i don't recall anyone above having any particular dietary requirements, but if you do i need to know in advance as to what they are. Ill make sure there's a decent variation on sausages from venison to boar, pork to chicken and a few Koftas thrown in as well.
At some stage of the day, 'someone' will be going out to get beer, ice and wine... it's not my job to sort that and pay them (you may even be going too of course), so if you want more than the allocation of beer to see you through the evening, jump up and either get in the car with them, or give them a few quid and a list of requirements. The supermarket is only a couple of miles down the road, but it's a hell of a walk if you get thirsty later and it's all gone
Notice... this covers only SAT night.. I can probably drop the BBQ down to the track on the Friday afternoon/evening as we'll likely shoot over to set up the Gazebo etc... However one of you lot who use it will be cleaning it ready for the next day and i will not be providing the meats

Sounds perfect, no special requirements and happy to eat/drink what I'm given
Happy to help and let me know if there's anything you want transporting. I'm going on Thursday night and coming back sunday morning.
