I rode my motorcycle.
Came home, fitted some new parts and rode it some more.
Radical.

Apparently. Don't you have to add stuff to make it the posh version? Mind, I'll never remember the posh name - I'm happy being a plebMr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 10:05 pmIsn't that dulce de leche?
You could make it sound way fancier if you use the fancy name.
I'm very envious!!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went for a short walk this morning with the same friend from Thursdays mammoth hike!!
She wanted to see the sunrise colours from a bit higher up that she did the other day. We didn't wait for actual sunrise but we did get to see a lesser spotted piste badger a few times so got to ski back down on fresh corduroy!!
I'm getting to like this walking up with company
I've just made brownies for a friend's chalet and am having a go at fudge again. Then is't chill for a bit before delivering the brownies

Wow. Those colours were certainly worth the early dart and the hike. I guess you're in the French Alps?Noggin wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 9:16 am Went for a short walk this morning with the same friend from Thursdays mammoth hike!!

I am. I'm in La Plagne
The colours never come out on a phone camera as good as they look IRL!! So it is definitely worth walking up to see it
We think they've pisted up to the top of one of the higher runs so planning to walk up on Thursday with some friends. I need it pisted as just can't afford to fall over, even if it's less than the other day!! LOL
One of the best things about being a transfer driver is I'm normally up early enough to see all those colours on days I'm working. Which is pretty blooming awesome!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Indeed. I rarely fall on the piste, its soft/heavy/lumpy/weird snow I can't deal with. Was probably better on it before but the past 3 seasons I've hardly skied, so tend to stick to the piste - and with a busted shoulder it wasn't worth attempting to ski off piste or learn the more difficult stuff for the last three seasons, or this one!! LOLmangocrazy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:31 am Yeah - no pain, no gain... Just try and stay upright, OK?
So - if it ain't pisted I ain't walking up, cos I don't want to fall over on the way down!!

First cut of the year on the lawns! It's a beautiful day out there. Just off out for a long walk with the dogs to enjoy the sunshine!

Got out on the bike yesterday, got smashed on rum last night, washed the car this morning, the Hammers beat Spurs to continue our cracking season and now I'm sitting in the sun at the park.
It's been a good weekend
Looks dry and mild all week too

Got up. About to 3S & go ride the ZRX, gave it a bit of spiffing up yesterday so it's looking rather... er, spiffy... & owing a slight garage clean up recently I can actually ride it out of the garage without the danger of falling into a pile of of crap that has no business being in a garage.

Washed the van, and got some oxtail on the go, lovely now on the sofa with a glass of red. Was going to start on fitting heated grips to the ST3 but it’ll have to wait, the wine won!

Right click on image.
Select 'copy image address'.
Back to forum - click in 'image insert' icon and paste between the thingies.
Or use the likes of Imgur for pics you want to keep/use elsewhere.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Another half afternoon emptying a friend's mobile home. Do they really want me to store a very used doormat (amongst other things) until they can travel hundreds of miles to fetch it?. Oh yes! Must have some sentimental value.
Of note - as they had fully expected (pre covid) to be (a) returning to this mobile home for further holidays (b) be emptying it themselves at some point, rather than a mate doing it - I was impressed how neat they had left it, nor was there anything diabolical like a big bag of dildos.
Then I spent the rest of the afternoon idly working out why the bike was hard to start. Perished vacuum hose on the fuel pipe.
