I'll bet you once it's done it's worth more than he puts into it though. However, i don't think that aspect matters as selling bikes doesn't seem to be his thing. He's living a youth dream on this bike, one he hankered for 30 years ago, so the actual values/prices don't matter in the slightest. Seems like an exceptional buy to me.

Agreed, I was just being flippant. In episode 2 (I think) it shows some of his bikes and he still seems to have them all (I didnt see the CB550) so its reassuring to know he really does seem to love the bikes rather than just doing it to make a telly program.

Even the bloody ugly ones like the pink thing and the red/gold monstrosity.... Well, they are to me.... i'm sure many love them. (I doubt many on here though)

There's a point where presenters 'style' becomes 'shtick' and he seems to have reached it. I can cope with him because I like to think he's not really too different IRL. Probably completely wrong though!

Also, as said, he does make programmes with bikes in.

They would have had their heyday in the late 70s / early 80s when the Japanese engines were overwhelming the frames. The first GSX-R and the FZ re-wrote that rulebook.

It's a chunk of history. I remember one of the Harris brothers being asked in an interview "which bike are you most proud of?" and he said "Honda's CB350SG".

The interviewer was - not surprisingly - totally baffled until it was explained to him that Honda essentially copied the Harris Magnum frame for that bike.

Mind you, I guess the CB350S is irrelevant to you too It was perhaps the most gutless and overweight bike I've ever ridden. At least you didn't expect much from a 250 Superdream but the extra 100cc promised a bit more. It failed to deliver quite spectacularly. It did handle reasonably well though.

well he did the Moto Martin justice if you ask me and seemed properly excited to finish and ride it. Whilst you fellas may not all get on with him, he's restored some lovely machines back from the death and into nice bikes.
