Maverick will be there to be able to say he was available to ride,so not in breach of his contract.

Once the lawyers get involved it will get ugly and I don't see how that won't happen.

Oh i bet that was fun !
He had a smirk on his face. Probably there for contractual reasons. Keeping his side of the bargain. There could be a lot of wages at stake.

Announcement today as well that the SSP300 team run by Mavs dad Angelo Vinales has spilt with Yamaha for the 2022 season. More and more shit hitting the fan ;)

Yamaha do some strange stuff. Even Rossi said they weren't being fair to Franco.

There's more to come....

I was chatting to a pal who suffers from worse mental health problems than me.

Mav publicly apologised and said he lost lost it in anger.

Haven't we all ? Ever'?

Have we all had anger tantrums ?

Hmm.

I see it in another light now.

Nope. I don't do emotions. I wonder sometimes if in another universe I could easily be a serial killer who just slaughters people to pass time and confuse police.

When the whole story, both sides comes out,we'll be in a better position to make a judgement, but that's unlikely until Vinales moves to Aprilia.

There may be shenanigans which provoked MV's behaviour,or otherwise. At the moment we just don't know. Certainly on the surface of things and knowing what we do know, none of it shows the rider in a good light.

Whatever the truth,I can't see him riding for Yamaha again.

Interesting coverage today which seemed to switch from the previous "how stupid was he to do it and not expect to get in the shit" to the now "He obviously had some mental health issues and hopefully will get some help while off the bike"

Also as he was suspended by Yamaha Europe as Yamaha Japan are currently closed form the holidays so will remain suspended as no final decision till they are open despite his apology

I have sympathy and maybe MH problems explained what he did.
But it was still stupid and potentially dangerous.

Can he be trusted?

As with other riders like Fenati, or even other 'troubled' riders like the Irwins in BSB and a few others, they can, right up until they can't.

The only one who comes to mind that was a problem rider and has now lost that tag is Miller, he seems to have calmed right down and we've not seen any of his erratic riding for a long long time now.

I really really really don't get why you'd leave Yamaha to go to Aprilia.... that's still just utter utter madness IMO.

Is probably the correct answer. If the writing was on the wall and he could read it , get out now whilst you’re still a contender getting contenders wages

But surely staying with Yamaha even for just year 2 would have brought better wages, you'd then still get an Aprilia ride after the 2nd year.

Aleix has finished in front of Maverick 4 times already this season so perhaps he is looking at the Aprilia thinking its a half decent ride as he probably considers himself to be a better ride and can do something with it while he is struggling like hell on the Yamaha

Jake Dixon in for Franco and Crutchlow taking Vinales seat for Silverstone at least.
