I was going to sell my V7, but reading this makes me want to mod it instead.

Think I'd have kept the exhaust 2-2, but that one does sound nice! The OEM drainpipes deffo need to go asap!Potter wrote: Sat Feb 13, 2021 9:54 am Managed to find a few bits and did a few more modifications this morning, two subtle and one not so subtle.
It's now got gucci mirrors and a fly screen that does a decent job of keeping the wind from buffeting your head after 60mph.
I found a single seat conversion, it's really meant for the Continental GT which has a different tank, it fits the Interceptor (despite the shop saying it wouldn't) but it leaves a small gap between the tank and seat, I can live with it though. Pictures below, I need to do something with that back end but I don't know what yet, I don't want to cut the frame, so probably remove that big rear light, buy a new black plastic mudguard and cut it down, then make a tail tidy.
Other ideas are a black headlight and black rims.
On order and arriving in 5-10 days (hopefully)...
Renthal black streetfighter bars.
2 into 1 exhaust
Hi-flow filter
Fuel booster plug
To be discussed next week when they open...
Rear shocks and fork internals at Nitron or Ohlins. Probably the Nitrons, they look nicer.
This is the exhaust that's coming, it's a fruity rasp (play it loud)...
I had a Boosterplug on a couple of bikes and they work well for curing the part throttle leanness. But bear in mind, depending on your ECU/Fi system, some will recognise the adjustment and calibrate back again, negating the unit.Potter wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 3:15 pmIt's basically just a probe that fools the ECU into thinking that it's colder than it really is so it'll compensate with more fuel.Taipan wrote: Sat Feb 20, 2021 2:49 pm
What fueling gadget did you get? Some of them get overridden by the ECU as it re-calibrates back to the OEM baseline.
I could tell it was getting better, but maybe it'll take a while to settle down.

Oh I dunno, still think a 690 Duke when they were £5999 was bloody good value/fun.Potter wrote: Sun Feb 21, 2021 10:39 am I reckon the track based ones that Harris made are probably the most fun you can have on a track for less than ten grand, around somewhere like Oulton they'd be amazing.
